If you want to increase deer populations try improving winter ranges instead of weapon restrictions. Deer populations can't grow if winter ranges keep shrinking and don't have the sustainability to hold wintering deer populations.

our wildlife board is the biggest disgrace hunting restrictions isn't how you manage or improve a deer herd they just need to say it how it is and tell everyone they are trying to reduce success rate so they can give out more permits 🤬🤬🤬

Increase hunter participation?! Not by forcing hunters to get new firearms with open sites for these applicable units. The Wildlife Board doesn't have a clue what they're doing, yet hell bent on pursuing their own agenda regardless. 🙄

They need to just close units. Not make it some what more difficult to harvest an animal. Then give out more tags because they say it will be a harder hunt. Utah has always been about money and it will never change. I hate hunting this state

​@@tonyhernandez2163Exactly! I mentioned this in my feedback to the Wildlife Board (and I know many others did too). The DWR asks for feedback to humor people and pretend like they care what its constituents have to say. However their agenda was set in stone from day 1. Complete and total BS!

Remember for thousands of years Utah game died by way of stick and string. Clearly, mature bucks will now die of old age. What is this thing you call a study? ...Now then add 3 different archery hunts, one with any home-made hand crafted bow (the native American hunt), the second hunt would need to be recurve bow only hunt (the pre-industrial hunt), and the last and third archery hunt would be compound only. After that maybe add a black powder hunt to increase hunter participation. Do that, do that state wide today. Remember for thousands of years Utah game died by way of stick and string only.
