Don't be so hard on yourself. It doesn't hurt to ask for help. Probably like me you were never taught how to work with tools. Nice of Steve to cut the board for you. Its still looks good after all is said and done. Good job Kim!

Yeah I think you're doing a good job. You were thinking about what to do with the sides what about weather stripping? I also just bought a new van a ProMaster that I want to build out as a mobile Hotel to travel to and from Colorado to see my daughter grandson and great-granddaughter I can't trust hotel rooms because last year I did drive 18 hours straight in a jeep no hotel rooms because of the fires here in Oregon . I put some duct tape around the edges for now. I like that idea of the weather stripping. Thank you!! It'll clean it up nicely! I do not like hotel rooms either - especially leaving all my stuff in my vehicle!! And most of them are just nasty unless they have 20 floors and I can be on the top floor furthest from spiders.

Why didn’t you use the template from the mat to cut your foam? And why did Steve have you cover the vinyl step covers that you had cut out? You’re doing great. Take your time. 😊

Because the mat also went underneath some of the side of the van, so it wasn't accurate. And I had to cut it out to go around the brackets in the floor. I butchered it. I decided at the last minute not to cut those parts out. Maybe another time I can take it out, but I really wanted it done!!! Thanks so much!!!!

I ripped it out. There was something about knowing it was in there. Previous owners smoked pot in the van and that smell is still in - so I also thought removing the mat would help remove the odor.

Just use a sharpie under and trace while in van, then take out flip over and cut
