@Kerruo F:NV Cass' father is John "Cass" Cassidy, who at the moment of Fallout 2 was a barkeeper at Vault City. At that moment he considered himself too old and sick for adventuring (at least alone. In fact, he had heart decease and could not use any drugs at risk of a heart attack), but he was also sick of VC and it's guards. So when he met Chosen One, he agreed to travel together with him, despite don't liking the tribals. After the Enclave got destroyed, they parted and Cass met a tribal woman who he fell in love with, so Rose of Sharon Cassidy, "Whiskey Rose" for sharing father's love for alcohol, was born. That's why I love old Fallout - story is so deeply tied together, the time moves, you see how the world changes and how this changes come from those little details someone may consider too small to be important, you see results of your own and other's actions, you live through a story rather than just watching and interacting with it sometimes.

If you’ve never played Fallout 2 you’d think Marcus was the most unintentional interesting npc in New Vegas when he tells you tales of blowing up a freaking oil rig with someone called The Chosen One .

Why was unupgraded Boone, still one of the best marksmen in the entire wasteland, charging down Horrigan with a machete? He comes default with an infinite ammo Hunting Rifle. You'd think he'd use it. AI behavior is just strange at times.

in my playthrough boone kept swapping his rifle for a 20% condition 9mm pistol

@@fecalunfunny7109 he'd only do so if he were carrying 9mm ammunition because otherwise they can't use any weapons that are not baked into their character and for Boone that's only his Hunting Rifle and Machete depending on if you tell him to use Ranged/Melee. He'll use a melee weapon if you put it in his inventory but the only way he'd ever use another gun is if it was both better than his rifle and had ammo being constantly placed in his inventory for it. Beyond that the only explanation is a bug or a mod causing that because, bluntly, it shouldn't be happening. I've put a frankly absurd amount of hours into the game and I always pick up Boone ASAP in my playthroughs and he's never had this issue for me. To specify I'm on Xbox One if that makes any difference.

That's what i expected for the non upgraded companions, still i would have expected frank to do better than he did but when there's that many sources of damage even he can't stand up to it.

Imagine them upgraded with better gear: Raul with Desert Ranger Combat Armor and a Sequoia Boone with Elite Riot Gear and an Anti Material Rifle Lily with a Minigun or SPRTL 9000 Veronica with T51B Power Armor and Two Step Goodbye Cass with Advanced Riot Gear and a Hunting Shotgun and of course Arcade with the gear seen in the video

Put it like this: Being a super mutant behemoth, already the biggest and strongest thing in the wasteland capable of ripping deathclaws in half with its bare hands. Now add the Enclave power armor (best of all power armors), high intellect which basically means the only weakness a behemoth has, is basically gone, add Enclave advanced weaponry on top of that and there you go. An absolute montrosity that probably can throw tanks like rocks and wipe out whole settlements with ease, both at close and long range. How do you even beat that?

What I don’t understand is you take Boone’s greatest strength of ranged weaponry and make him fight with a freaking machete and you take the super mutant night-kin and give her, her ranged weapon when she’s an actual Frontline fighter. With a modified helicopter blade. Edit: I will note it’s also a shame you do not have the perk living anatomy on, so we cannot see what kind of a beast this Frank Horrigan Mark 2 clone is.
