Out of all of this, the audio design it's what saddens me the most. It seems it would work much like the Metro series, Exodus especifically in which they had multiple themes for exploration, sneaking, enemies detecting you, enemies searching for you and enemies attacking you

I _swear,_ I remember being able to turn in Vikki's bonnet and Vance's gun and hat to Primm Slim for a reward. It wasn't a restoraton mod, because I was playing on PS3 at the time. This was years ago. I must be misremembering, but, man, it's a vivid memory.

On the topic of the Vipers being an actual faction: if I remember right, they were originally planned to have a lot more detail, adding details about their psuedo-cult nature, up to and including the chance for the Courier to join them and gain a unique perk, but they eventually ended up just being implemented as a generic raider band. (I don't remember where I heard this from, though.)

I recommend trying out "Simply Uncut" for a lot of the 'experimental' cut content like the bighorner pen and explosive crate stuff in Goodsprings. It adds a lot of other content that might detract from the NV experience as well, like most of the FO3 weapon arsenal that isn't always correctly scaled (by that I mean, as an example, finding junk weapons in tool boxes worth thousands of caps).

I’ve always imagined going through cut content to be the equivalent of a raccoon or crow digging through a trash can and marveling at everything it finds. It sounds kind of mean to people who look for cut content but I love raccoons and crows so I don’t really mean it as an insult. I played Ghost Town Gunfight siding with the Powder Gangers three weeks ago in the fully patched, unmodded version of the game on PC and Joe Cobb definitely said something about letting the Bighorners out.

I'm guessing mine must come from a mod then, but I'm just not sure which, but I 100% have found various (jnk) rounds in my inventory for years now. I'll have to pull up my new Vegas again and try to figure out which mod adds them if it is from a mod

I remember adding music to a mod I made, I was unaware of the changes and the old music set system from FO3/OB/MW is still in the GECK but it doesn't work, I spent ages trying to figure out what was wrong until I discovered the new system. I really wish they'd left the old system in place, the new one would be great if it worked properly but it often doesn't, for all it's limitations at least the old system was reliable.

I believe the old system can still be used, but it needs scripting to override the new one.

It was Bethesda's fault that there was a time limit for the game

@@insomniagobrrr5542 No devs from the game have debunked that myth multiple times. Obsidians management was at fault for thinking 18 months was enough, a problem they have a history of (they asked for a delay on kotor 2 and told the devs to keep working thinking they'd automatically get it. They did not and kotor 2 ended up half finished). Devs have also said they didn't start tempering the games vision and moving to bugfixing until a few months after they should have, leading to the very poor release state. Add in a lot of other internal issues (their only way of tracking bugs for some time was writing them down on post it notes) and Obsidian has admitted the issues they faced were almost entirely from within.

iirc in an older version of FNV on the Xbox 360 u actually used to be able to return Vances 9MM smg. I remember doing it back i the day before i played the PC version, and from wut i recall u couldnt take the gun back. I dont remember the full details.
