New Vegas Permadeath but I can only use Explosives

We had a fun few Fallout New Vegas Perma-death streams and here's a highlight video of one of the best runs we got going. It's explosives only and I attempt to do all the DLC's alongside the base game on the hardest difficulty with a few extra challenges thrown in.
I know this isn't an usual upload but I like to aim for a video a week and some weeks its nice to have a highlight uploaded instead so I can take a few days off from editing. Enjoy and I'll see you guys soon.

Jabo honestly as Sodium here your build is out of whack criticals and luck have no impact on explosive weapons :) Perception has no influence on accuracy in new vegas and better criticals does nothing with explosive weapons.However good try m8!

That would be a cool idea for a "shin Godzilla" type run, spoiler alert if you haven't seen the recent 2018 Japanese Godzilla movie, in the movie whatever can "delete" Godzilla does it once and then can't anymore, basically whatever is capable of k***ing Godzilla can't after the first attempt, basically making him immortal, so in fallout that would be interesting because eventually nothing can k*** you so it would basically be a "can I beat NV as a immortal God"

@@fyretnt because KZbins ridiculous rules, very similar to FB TBH, I get out in FB jail alot for saying everyday things, usually something about history, so I feel like the rules for FB and KZbin are basically identical, and they obviously have "favorites", people who are allowed to break some of these rules, like talking about German WW2 history and being able to say the n4zi word, if I were to make a historical post on KZbin my channel would probably be banned because the level of detail I like to go into, so for a small KZbinr/FB user it's a bit unfair. Another good example is some fallout KZbinrs not being able to show the game and having to censor gore or language or even copy right issues, like with oxhorn, he can go into great detail about what happened to a NPC but he still can't cuss, or use the games music other then the main theme. idk, I'd rather not risk my channel being deleted or something by them

He could've gone a stealth route, slipped past it with that Stealth Boy in his inventory, then ambushed it repeatedly with Anabelle from his stealth position up in the rafters and then hid back inside the building until it calmed down. He chose instead to rush it head-on, without Power Armor, in the Stealth Suit. I don't... I guess he was just tired of the run. He HAD to be throwing on purpose, right???

My first ever exposure to Fallout was a playthrough done by Will Strife as an explosives only FNV run, that was years ago, but not only was that what got me into Fallout it's what made doing explosives in FNV my favourite build, so it's so awesome to see you do it as well!

I had no idea what ‘island boy’ was until now, those plants are now ‘island boys’ Edit: Jabo watching/meddling with the ‘Aces theater show’ more so punching the Lonesome Drifter who was actually lip syncing, was a very great highlight. Also, I generally side with the Legion, I remember when the NCR rangers showed up and said ‘This is a warning, next time we won’t forgive you’ type of thing, I told them ‘why wait? Any mod makers out there, I have a really good idea for survival modes. Basically, a mod/feature where in Survival mode if you “die” from lack of water, food, etc.. anything aside from a fatal wound, the game looks at where you are, and what your status/karma is and you might survive. If you’re friendly with the NCR and collapse on an NCR base, you’re very unlikely to die. If you collapse in a vault, or in raider territory you’re dead as shit. I think this would add a fun variable where you try to at least make it to a main road, or friendly territory to collapse and hope a friendly stranger can help you. You get a bit of text and maybe a voice dialogue over black screen “whew.. you look like Brahmin jerky friend! I don’t have much water, but you can share what I got.” and you wake up somewhere nearby with a bit of health and better meters to get you somewhere safe. I always thought it’s dumb that you suddenly just die if you don’t eat after an hour…

I did a shotgun only run of NV a while back and that mega robo scorpion was definitely one of the hardest parts. I think I managed it with slugs. Dinner Bell + Shotgun Surgeon + And Stay Back handled almost everything else in the game with ease.

Watched Jabos New Vegas video that was about 9 months old and there was a lot of talk about alcoholism. I don't know if he'll read this but there is a good book about addiction and prohobition/war on drugs. It's called chasing the scream by Johann Hari. He went around the world to see different methods of handling addiction and the effects of that. Recommend it to everyone.

To be fair, with the Couriers stash on vanilla there's no reason you couldn't take on any of the dlc at lvl 1, the hardest part is finding a gun to hit hard enough with early on

The caravan down the street from gun runners has a few thousand caps. Sell that then go into the casinos if you have high luck which you shouldn’t have because explosives have the worst crust. Go in play blackjack because roulette is rigged no matter your luck. Go to all the casinos including the atomic wrangler and prime. Then go to the start of the lonesome road dlc get see to do the thing. Buy all the attachments from said thing for the red glare. Then go and kill that ghoul guy thing with the red glare, take it from him, then mod it out. Then buy all the ammo you’d need. Next go to that death law cave and kill all of them then grab the legendary mercy out of there then you can kill anything
