I really liked that she gave us more of the lightest shade - now they're gone. Those are the pans that are used up first.. highlight and crease/contour. The new shades are pretty but the medium brown in Signature was perfection.. glad i have a back up

I'd have disagreed back in the day. That I use more of the darker shades. But I have learned more about application and even though I'm deeper I do use more of the lighter shades to blend out and set the eye, brow bone and, inner inner corner, lid. I want maybe one shimmer or topper. Wow this new one is expensive! And I buy Tom Ford and Suuq and Pat. 😮

I like that the pans are separated now but I really dislike having one larger pan. And $75 USD for the empty palette is insane!!

I like the tortoise shell compact. I think it’s cool they’re doing an empty one. But yeah that price is crazy high, especially after all the reports of VB compacts breaking or not wanting close. The eyeshadow colors don’t really intrigue me, so I would pull the trigger on the compact if it were a little more reasonable in price.

Signature is a staple for me and I did not need a metallic in there. Mine will last me quite some more years and I am happy to have the old eye brick.

Sure, but the point is that the price has jumped from 60 to 125 for the same thing (compact + refill) and that is insane!

@bobmindset oh I understand. I'm not buying any. I still have one of her bricks almost untouched. Not only is makeup prices going up now she's got to have you buy a compact for each color eyeshadow brick. But just in case someone was interested they can just buy the refill and skip the case.

not sure I buy into the refill separate compact system. I will never use up an eyeshadow palette. by the time I need to refill it they will change the refill packaging. For me personally it's not an incentive to spend more money. I haven't been able to figure out how this is environmentally friendly.

Crazy. It's really disappointing where these makeup prices are going. You have to be really rich to buy anything now. It's unreasonable. Hourglass did this approach where they overpriced the packaging and the shadows - well, nobody is talking about their eyeshadows.

I cannot believe that the compact is $75 and the eyeshadow refill is $50. They went from $60 for the old eyeshadows to $125 for a quad. It’s truly outrageous. You’re absolutely right. It should have been $75 for the compact AND shadows and $50 for just the shadows alone. That would make sense, and STILL be a price increase. There is no way I’m buying these. None.

They’re available for preorder on her website now for ‘v suite’ customers and are £71 for the compact and shades. So around the same price as a Tom Ford palette. I agree with you though - none of those colour stories are drawing me in and with the lack of preservatives I’d really need to use it all the time. Although I’m slightly tempted by ‘Victoria’ - I always wished the Cami shade were deeper.

In the VB website, the $75 price includes the case and refill with the option to buy the refill for $50. I believe the website you’re checking is missinforming

I agree that the compact should be more than $30..... I know people had trouble with her old compacts coming apart, which is awful since the prices for those were so high as it was. I just ran and purchased two of the old style eye bricks because I had been wanting them for a long time. Years, in fact. I wish she had kept the original pans without the separation because I thought that was so unique and artistic. I like the idea of mixing your own shades with those palettes because I often do. I think the Olive palette looks very disappointing and boring. Loved hearing your thoughts on the new palettes. The price is outrageous but as long as it's durable and feels wonderful I can see myself purchasing one compact and the Night Flash and Victoria refills. The last thing I need is more eyeshadow so if I bring any new ones in I want them to be carefully selected and where I know I will use every shade regularly.

I think the new one colorwise is better for poc. When you say skin tone is what you actually saying is shades for white people. The new ones are more inclusive. So to me they are better. About the price no one force you to buy. High end is not for everybody is meant in its design to exclude. People will value something hard to get as better. Thats the human nature. Great video❤❤❤

Yeah, I said “light skin tone”. For me is a crease shade. I also prefer the choice of the darker shade in Victoria. Pricing was wrong. Now they have corrected it and it is more aligned with the bronzer. It’s 75 for compact + eyeshadow. Much more reasonable! 😘🥰

They are beautiful, but CRAZY expensive. I might consider just the refill(s), but it sort of defeats the luxury feel of the item to use it out of its plastic container.

The old bricks tempted me and I liked the colours; they were also very pretty design wise but the price held me back. The new design is less appealing to my eyes and the price is absolutely ridiculous. Oh well, one brand less to consider for eyeshadow 🤷‍♀️

I think all this new concept for VB beauty is ridiculous and just cash grap ...I can maybe even get pass the case separate being so expensive, but what to me is absurd is the fact, tjat if you switch to refill system, you should nake it fully refillable shade by shade... not a full palette refill. you always have a shades that you use up faster and are your faves, so she should offer to get shades sperated as sigles.. but with this system you basically need to buy new full palette....ridiculous 🤯😵‍💫 .....this is hell no

Prada has the same system. “Refillable” but in chunks of 4 eyeshadows. In that case is because of the formula (cream to powders with no metallic pans). I’m curious to check the formula of these VB new quads too.

I don’t like the colour story on any of them. They are very dark and for me very unattractive. The price is very high and shocking for this brand. Definitely a hard pass for me. Thanks for sharing!🙂
