I purchased the discovery set. My favorite was Portofino’97. However, it gives me the same vibes as Byredo Bal d’ Afrique. They wear very similar on skin to me with portofino being a tad sweeter. Your take on all the fragrances were spot on. Great first impressions! Thanks for sharing.

I am laughing because I literally did not see any discovery set the day I was buying! So luckily I do like all of these! AND yes!! I was wondering why I loved Portofino so much! I am a huge fan of Bal D'Afrique and could not quite put my finger on what it was reminding me of! The name Portofino - was remding me of the Tom Ford fragrances but they don't have any similarities! SO yes- similar VIBES to Bal D'afrique but not the same and a bit more salty in my eyes. THANK YOU so much for sharing! I am going to wear Portofino tomorrow and really dive in! xoxo

I love Bal d'Afrique. And with the Portofino I immediately thought of the scent. It smells like BA only with sea breeze and incense. Given that the scents come from the same perfumer and Bal Afrique is one of Vicktoria B's favorite scents, I'm not surprised

Great review, it describes perfectly each one of them. I first bought the discovery set, around a month ago. At first, I did not like any of them, but I tested them only on paper and I was probably not in a good mood that day. :) I gave like a week and tried it again, this time on my skin and I completely changed my mind. I now love all of them, but Portofino 97 is my favorite of the 3. I ended up buying a full bottle of Portofino and planning to order the other ones as well. I think VB did a really great job with these flagrancies. I know she was not the one creating them herself, but as Jerome Eppinette said in an interview for Haper's Bazar - she described exactly what she wanted, the moment she was trying to capture. Also, as the owner of the brand, she had to approve the scents before launching it and I'm glad she did approve these ones - great job, very distinct one from another and yet complementary. I have tried layering them and really works.

Hi Abby. Thank you for going all out and buying all three of these fragrances to help out your subscribers. I am so excited about the launch and was going to buy the discovery set because it comes with an online code for a discount off a full bottle. If you do make a purchase I think then you are only out $10 for the 3x2ml vials. I needed to pick up two VBB products anyway so I was surprised to see that they added a 3x2ml sample set in the cart for free with my purchase. This is perfect so I can just try before I buy. I have to be a bit more careful with risks because I live in Canada. It is a huge hassle to return fragrances to the US from Canada, so I accept that if I blind buy from a US site, I am keeping the fragrance no matter what. I actually was brought up not to return things so I don't even return products to Sephora or department stores in Canada. The difference is that I can go to the store and test the product before I buy.

I have watched a lot of fragrance content on YT over the past two years and you are the only person who does not talk about or promote discount grey market fragrance sites on their channel. I am not saying that there is something wrong with doing that, but I like how you support retail in general, fragrance brands and small business. For example one time I heard you and Bisma mention that you took her to a small fragrance shop in Portland when she visited you and you both bought something. A lot of people just go into stores to see something in real life and then go home and try to find discounts online. It's just nice that you support your home economy as a conscious consumer.

Hi Abby. I received my order from VBB with what I thought was going to be actual fragrance samples included, but which were cards with a small piece on top that you peel back to get a drop of the fragrance to smell. I should have bought the discovery kit. What I can tell though is that for sure Suite 302 and San Ysidro drive will be in my collection soon. I loved the smell of Portofino but it turned a bit masculine on my skin. I would actually like to smell that one on a man. Anyway, just wanted to report back with my thoughts. All three fragrances sound just delightful to me. It would be very hard to choose between them! I'm a great fan of wearing leather, as I love the texture of different fabrics, so that one would be of interest. I also adore passionfruit and so many other notes that you named Abby. I'm not sure whether these would be shipped to Australia due to being fragrance, most especially from Britain. I'd definitely like all three, yet I just don't need anymore fragrance at parent.
