Geez. He really wasn’t that far ahead of the second man. You can see him off to the right, just before it happens. But right in the path of the avalanche. This is so sad. Deepest condolences to his family.

Sneaky, they were crossing through that zone but you don't see it until you're in it.

Beacon and Airbag and bail from the snowmobile. It probably drew him under the snow even further.

You can have all the training,have all the gear, do all the right things and still not come off the mountain. When you're a slender those are the chances you take, and it sucks when they go wrong.

Did they listen or read the warnings. Did they dig a pit. No. Did they keep an eye on each other, no. Did they even have avalanche beacons or or avalanche gear. Probably No. just aching for disaster
@Trouble-Clef6 ай бұрын
Yes, he did. But the beacon had come out of his pocket in the avalanche. Even when they found him it took 17 men over two hours to dig him out. He was just that deep. And he died of traumatic injury, not suffocation. Maybe read what happened instead of guessing.

Can afford a snowmobile but not a avalanche spot beacon and safety gear. Another $1000 and he would of been alive

12 feet of snow on top of him. At least. That takes literally hours to dig out. Survival chance already was slim.

Dude died and this is your comment? BTW I know BCS who also ride sleds, some sled to the spots they want to ski, glad not all of them are like you. Holy crap could you be more self centered in the face of a tragedy?

Geez, just a tad selfish. A man dies but it’s all about you and your preference for skiing. Unreal!
