Yes, we are on holiday.. spring break. Spent two days in Tokyo, and now, all settled in at our other home in Bang Saray Chonburi Thailand. Doing some record shopping here and there...definitely going to the beach later today ! Sean loves to travel.. we all do, actually.. 👨‍👩‍👧

Saw Mott the Hoople many times around 1969/70, they did a great version of You Really Got Me, they had a very loyal following. A band that never gets mentioned, especially US/Canadians is the English band Family with the unique lead singer Roger Chapman, they were one of the best live bands from 1967 to 1973, all of their 7 albums are great too! Due to various reasons they never cracked the States. Saw Procol Harum at a free concert on Hampstead Heath London early 1969, on a beautiful spring day, great times 😊

They were the big new peog band when I was in high school. My buddies and I went to Oasis records fir a signing with Wetton and Jobson, who signed a painting I did. Great concert. Also saw them with Bozzio open for Tull. JT, you are so pleasant and knowledgeable. Enjoy your break, brother!

I love your Bowie trilogy, I think mine would be Diamond Dogs, Hunky Dory and Ziggy (maybe Aladdin). Bowie is my wife’s favourite artist she loves Ziggy and Aladdin but has a soft spot for Pin Ups. Hi JT! I too thought Doug Anderson did an incredible job with that 50 states video. That would've been some exhaustive research. I've seen that Procol Harum album before, but didn't pick it up. Sounds like I should have! I feel like I keep seeing that Iron Butterfly album recently. That Olivia Newton John album looks great. When she passed I did a deep dive into the earlier stuff and it's great. I only have a double live Fleetwood Mac from the Peter Green years. I need some more of his stuff. I have a copy of that Bob Weir album too, and love it a lot.

Just got off work.. "Ball" is a great album ! Blues, Psych Rock.. You will enjoy ALL of Peter Green years Fleetwood Mac ! Danny Kirwan, his ( protégé ) is almost equal in my book to Peter.. well not really, and Jeremy Spencer is an Elmore James clone, but pulls it off so very well ! I had Ace forever, and misplaced it.. somewhere ! Found the Cd for 1.50 last year.. it's slightly rare on Cd.. 15 or 20.00. ONJ first LP is fantastic.. mine is still sealed, I have been streaming it..✌

I bought the Nikki Lane for 11.00 on Amazon.. maybe they still have that good price. Go to 15.00 Dollar Records And Under.. everything is new, not warehouse stuff. All of the Peter Green years FM is superb ! Glad you like Turnpike Troubadours.. I do too ! I have "Goodbye Normal Street" which is even a bit better that the one that you and I have.

Good Peter Green album. Some of his music gets a little wonky but that was a good album. Nice buys on Amazon, certain albums , like Tone Poets, I don’t buy until they go on clearance I never have listened to Ace but then I was never a big Grateful Dead fan. Sounds like a fun road-trip is about to happen. Enjoy

Love Mott the Hoople. That live album is in great shape! I had those UK albums when they came out but was never able to appreciate them...they are long gone. I'd probably enjoy it more now. I did a video about dynaflex records a couple years ago. Seems to me most of them still sound really good today. Interesting information about Beaver and Krause. Hadn't heard of Seawind before either - I'll check them out. Olivia sing Gordon? Count me in. Great album cover on Peter Green. Glad to hear you got Ace. Rare Bird? Another band I haven't heard of. Saw Iron Butterfly, Three Dog Night, Booker T And The MG's, and Mr. Tiny Tim in concert @ Knott's Berry Farm. I was 4 feet away in the audience with my wife Susie, my son Nick, and my daughter Drema. And Tiny Tim was just as good as the other three acts!!! (1987) 🦓

G’day Jt, Love Mott. I think Wildlife might be my fav. Nilsson remix…interesting. That Beaver dude sounds like a knob. I’m glad you enjoyed the record Jt, but having someone give you grief in the comments is not on. No one knows everything & instead interrogating someone how they just said “ Hey Jt you might like that record you flipped over” it’s easy to alert someone to something & still be polite. Anyway rant done….as always a magnificent array of genres & peppered with your Vegas stories is always interesting to me. I agree Bowie just might be the one for me too. I have two sets of 3. The one you mentioned & Station To Station through to Heroes is another favourite 3 in a row for me. Great to see The Game. I love that record & Peter Green in general. I think I need to get Ace. A lot of people have been getting the reissue & saying great stuff about it. I have the first 10 Dead studio albums & maybe 4 or 5 live ones. I scored a "Flash And The Pan" record today.. Early Morning Wake Up Call. I know they came out of The Easybeats.. and another Nick Lowe record.. "And His Cowboy Outfit" from 1984.. I remember it.. it's a good one... You need "Ace" an original would be cool, but this repress should sound good. Mine is still sealed.. for now ! Thanks for sticking up for me.
