Wow, an Edgar Broughton Band! They never had any of their records released here in America so that is a very cool score to have. British pressings are just...attractive. The grooves, the flipback covers, their feel. It's a fetish-y thing sometimes. JT

You said It.. JT ! This guy was so cool, and he really wanted me to have these. It wasn't much cash compared to the value of these UK records. He and his wife brought these over from England in 1981. I'd have to say.. My Ziggy OG Orange RCA, and that NM Beggars on the blue Decca.. And 146.000 Low # Mono 1968 Beatles White Album are crazy good.. And Edgar Broughton Band too !

The stencil is intact and thanks for telling me that the 45's are separate. I first found TRB records at Bill's. My Beggars might be the winner of all of these records, well.. Ziggy on the original orange RCA, and 3rd place goes to that low numbered mono original 1968 White Album. I miss your Berwickshire handle ! It was a good strong name.

Hi JT. Great selection as usual. Mike Harding caught my eye. He's remembered fondly by many people for the Folk Show he did on BBC Radio 2. After they let him go (one of many unpopular moves made by BBC radio over the years), he started his own podcast which eventually ended a couple of years ago. If you look for Mike Harding's Folk Show online, you can still listen to his podcast archive (over 300 shows!). That will definitely send you off down various rabbit holes! A thoroughly decent and likeable man ... I've been listening to quite a bit of Wishbone Ash recently. I keep going back to 'Argus'.

I know.. Argus is the one, and it goes back to when we were just kids ! Billy Connolly I know pretty well, and enjoy his acting, comedy and musically he was in that folk group with Gerry Rafferty .. Glasgow, right ? Mike Harding, I know nothing about except that he was a Northerner.. well Crumpsall north of Manchester. ( Sean and I look in on geographical places on the globe ). I'm so pleased to have this collection, he did love his folk and west coast sound of American music as well.

Oooh, so, SO many wonderful looking albums I’d love to own! Never really seen Rod’s expression up close on that Never a Dull Moment! That’s hillarious! 😂 My copy of My Sweet Lord 7’’ I love because I bought it at a record store in Aarhus I hadn’t visited since I went to filmschool over 20 years prior, and it was still there (Called Badsturock, saunarock) and the copy IS Danish! When I see that the Band cover Northern Lights, …nah, won’t say it, might ruin it for you 😄 Look at that beautiful Beggars Banquet 🥰 CSNY discography confuses me to this day… keep checking up on it and forget it seconds later. That is the one Boomtown Rats I have never heard. Beautiful 10CC copy as well. UK Records. The label was a map of Britain but a crown replaced Scotland 😄 Oooh, I want that The Kids… Someone nickef my Tommy and my Speak of the Devil 😕 Ooooh, good looking Whitesnake. That is a good live album. History of the Byrds, found a copy last year, not as nice as that one, but when I spin it, with that orange label. Pure love! Instant perfect record collection. Hello ! And thanks for asking.. Zia moved from further north on Eastern Ave. to this newer location on Warm Springs Road at 7380 South Eastern Ave. Several miles south of the old shop. I've never been to the 1216 Rainbow Blvd store.

Hi JT. You passed on the Kingsmen's 2nd LP. The initial pressing had 'Death Of An Angel' added after the sleeve was printed, so a yellow sticker was added on the front cover. That's according to Wikipedia ... James McMurtry's debut LP was a good find. Like a fool, I missed out on seeing him live a few years when he played at my favourite venue ... Some nice finds at the Goodwill. It's always good when the record you want is still in the shrink. Did you miss out on 'It Takes A Year' by William Ackerman on Windham Hill?

Hmm, I had a feeling I needed to have a better look at that Kingsmen, I'm going back, anyhow. I do have Will Ackermann's record, and I couldn't believe it when I found James McMurtry's debut on vinyl ! I have enjoyed that album for years on Cd..

@@jtsrecordroom3963 I didn't know about James McMurtry until a few years ago when I read a couple of reviews for his then latest album. I really wish I'd seen him on the tour to promote it.

Too bad you missed that show. I remember seeing him perform the whole record, back in 89 on TV.. David Grissom was so impressive, and I already had the Cd because of " I'm Not From Here I Just Live Here" !!!

Thank you , Mike ! I should be able to show the last half of my British records on Wednesday. It's not that they are especially rare, except for that UK original Ziggy and the low numbered White Album. More of the fact that I love the music, and it is very rare to see this many records from England all in one collection, way over here !

Nice Bryan Ferry, Coninteals , James MC Murtirty , Lee Oscar , Marshal Crenshaw , BB King , Johnny Cash , Madness , so they found a nice home for Jc Penny? Ours isn't anything!!! I see Jimi Hendrix pictures, 3 dog night Poco , Dan Fogelberg , Art Garfunkel , EmmyLou Harris , sweet Stevie and Jimmy, How much is the Velvet underground first press worth what were they asking for it? in todays money with scuffs and light scratches does 275.00 sound like a lot? it does to me 275 light scratches and scuffs. I went to my Goodwill Wedneseday the 19th the records were either scratched, jackets missing records and some jackets were warped and had mold on them.

How goes it, Mark ! So.. To buy a worthwhile first press of a 1967 VU.. There are a lot of factors. East Coat press is worth more than West Coast ( LA plant ).. and condition condition ! It takes shopping on the internet, or driving to record shops that have one, and.. Negotiate ! I have a 1968 2nd press that I like a lot from Bill's.. I think I paid 40 or 50 dollars.. So that right there is a very good deal. E Bay and Discogs are the places to do the homework first, because the prices are all over the place. And no, I wouldn't buy the one I showed in the video, although.. That's what it is worth at a fair price. Gabriel is a fair guy..🎵

Thrift stores take a lot of work checking in very often, and getting to meet the workers helps. I found out about records being put out recently at a chain of stores, so.. That helps to score vinyl thrifting ! Thanks, Mark

Hey J.T. love your Channel . I saw Combustible Edison open for Bryan Ferry (Mamouna Tour) in 1994 at Will Rogers Collesium in Ft. Worth. Honesty don't remember much about their set but it's cool you brought them up. That Mamouna Tour was outstanding. Robin Trower was his lead guitarist on the European leg of the tour. Take care!

Well, Tony.. I'd say it's good here in Reno and Sparks. Carson City is great for records thrifting, too ! I'm lucky that this is my home turf because .. knock on wood, I found 6 LP's in the shrink 1.50 each this morning before work. In California ( 15 miles to the border ), it's highly competitive for thrift records. Bill's has been an amazing experience, and we are now good friends who treat each other fairly. Thanks so much 🎵
