I am looking forward to the Manson album! The Pale Emperor is incredible so I call that one his last best album, then Mechanical Animals. I do like the 3 tracks he has released over the past 2 months leading up to this release. Cheers

I’ll have to listen to it again. I remember playing it once after it was released and it didn’t click with me, so I don’t think I listened to it again. It wouldn’t be the first time that I’ve had to hear to an album multiple times to get into it.

I talked to their merch guy at a recent show, he said after they do their new album they may try to re-release of this and Bakers Dozen, but said there are a couple of roadblocks they need to clear first (I think alluding to legal issues that need resolved first).

I'm super excited for Thee Midniters greatest hit coming out Friday. It's considered 60's garage rock, but they were a big influence on the East LA soul movement back then and now. The last greatest hits they had was in 83 distributed by rhino records, and goes for a pretty penny on Discogs now days ( I have it) but curiosity killed the cat because I pre ordered this new greatest hit because I wanna know which sounds better lol.

Re Manson - disagree. He's had a number of great albums since ANIMALS. GOLDEN AGE, for example, was an excellent album. HOLY WOOD before it, was even better. His comeback album, at least for me, was PALE EMPEROR, but it was a new tac for him. The follow on, HEAVEN UPSIDE DOWN, was also very good. WE ARE CHAOS lost me a bit. Have high hopes for OAUG.1, reasons not least of which are the fact that I have three supposedly limited variants on preorder. I'll see him in Zurich in February (if he's not imprisoned first).

@SixSixSatan From my experience, innocent people rarely settle out of court, and he has already with two of the cases. It doesn't mean he's guilty, but it looks pretty bad.

@@TheVinylDen While common, that's a pretty un-American assertion. Even if you were a veteran trial lawyer, your experience would still be extremely limited and anecdotal. Also, for public figures, their public image is their livelihood and so more would go into a private settlement equation than it would for the rest of us. Additionally, certainly Werner has done plenty of things that weren't crimes, but of which he's still not proud (like almost all of us), and he wouldn't want that coming out and damaging his marketability in an protracted and very public trial. And you can usually only settle in civil cases, anyway. If it was criminal, he wouldn't have the option. Americans should be entitled to a degree of privacy (sometimes the incentive to settle) and certainly the presumption of innocence. I agree, the optics of settling aren't great, but philosophically, we should grant the benefit of the doubt that we would want. That's all BEFORE it comes out that one of the accusers has likely coerced two other accusers and forged a letter from the FBI. To me, it reeks and, if he is innocent, then I hope he is exonerated. Persecution by mob rule (aka much of the #metoo cancellation fad) is antithetical to American ideals. Looking forward to ONE ASSASSINATION!

I have no interest in new music by any of the 80s/90s artists or the Beatles! Their best years are most certainly behind them. I did enjoy Mansons Pale Emperor lp a few years ago though

Umm, as of last month, there were still more than a dozen women who have made allegations against him (and two he settled out of court). It doesn't matter much to me because I'm someone who can separate the art from the artist, but there are a lot of people who can't.

@TheVinylDen Pete Townsend will always be scum, Rihanna was probably asking for it, Diddy can burn, and I hope he lights up as many others as he can on his way down - R Kelly... there are many who can't be forgiven, Manson told everybody he was the devil, and these women thought it would be fun to play with that - Alyssa Milano, who makes a living going after men who abuse said he was none of the things people say about him, Evan Rachael Ward was pushed to go after him by her very pushy girlfriend and Evans failing stardom. I never gave up on Marilyn. He is a genius and I'm glad his friends stuck by him.
