New VIRTUA FIGHTER Announcement! My Thoughts!

Only ever played it at the bowling alley in the small arcade part they had there back in the day. I need to get it on the megadrive and see what I think! Definitely up for a new one though, could be so good!

@@adamwragg4606 Ahhh I see! I’ve never actually played any virtua fighter games in the past as no one that I knew personally had. Been playing VF5 and it’s a ton of fun but I’m ready for more updated gameplay! Thanks for watching too mate

Virtua fighter bitd was such a massive game, played the og in the arcades and we hammered the saturn port, it really was massive, it's just Sega, they are nowhere near the same company as oldies like I remember, I really am hoping and confident they will make a very good fighter, one that will stand up to a modern audience. Sega have been rumoured to have been working on new virtua fighter for a long time now so happy everything has been made official, still looking forward to City of the Wolves more though 😂

You are definitely right though, I’ve always been interested in VF but never actually got a chance to play it properly, heavy on Tekken and street fighter. But yeah man they have so many IPS and I’m glad they are bringing some back. But I WANT VF to work so I’m excited bro!

I’m not a fan either, however I appreciate the fact that it inspired a lot of 3D games (even graphics) in the 90s. Thanks to the ingenuity of Sega’s dev team then, it even had the PlayStation team decide to go for 3D graphics at that time! Tekken also needs another rival again, as they’ve competed with each other in the past (especially if you look at Tekken 4’s gameplay (to mixed results) vs Virtua Fighter 4’s gameplay, for example). Anyway, guess we’ll have to wait and see what Sega brings to the table.

@@fragmentedpixels 100% you get what I mean, I’m excited to see what they do as they cannot let VF fall to the background. Hope they give everyone a major redesign too like they did Akira 🤝🏾
