Hi, the screen shows many errors there. I wonder why. I bought a new golf 8.5 one month ago, after two days my car did’t work and I saw many errors on the screen. Is there a common problem in this new car?

Have had two golfs and I am moving to the Audi A3. The touch screen in the golf is terrible. Its slow and on cold mornings, takes a while to get started, meaning you sit freezing waiting to put on the heaters on. I aint fussed on that screen sticking up in the air like that. Be refreshing to have a change I think.

Seems like an afterthought, sticking a huge tablet on the middle of the console. It's an eye sore.

It looks great when you are in the car. They wanted to use a larger screen and when you get to a certain size its hard to enclose it in the dash as you the dashboard then needs a large flat area to house it. With it being outside the dashboard, it runs cooler and can easily be swapped out if required in the future.

No it's not easy. No more buttons, so you have to get into the menu to just change the fan speed. Insane! Stop being so naive. Make useful and critical reviews.

There is a 'widget' for the climate control/fan settings that can be added to the home page so you have those options always available on the screen.

@@chrislee6650 Thanks for the info but is it possible to make a shorcut to fan speed? Without having to go through the menu. Just like a simple physical button. I use the fan speed a lot while driving.

Comments are getting censored, but yes you can, you need to edit your home page (s). There is a widget you can add which always sits on the homepage that provides buttons and fan speed control with A/C on and off etc.

@@mohammedirshad728 DSG in cars with less power - 1.0 & 1.5 are unreliable. While they are nice for long journeys, they heat up quickly in the city - the natural habitat for low power small engines . The very reason somebody buys an automatic is to drive around town!
