The reason I went with a Viper was because it takes a CR2032 battery, even if I have to remove the sight to change it. I did not like having to carry yet ANOTHER battery type, even if it was easier to change, like Venom or Defender. That's just me.

Oops. The Defender CCW uses 1632, the Defender ST uses 2032. ST is priced $100 more than the CCW right now at Optics Planet, about $329 vs. $229-ish. I have a Razor Red Dot on my VR80. Is there a reason to change? Or a reason to change Vipers for an ST on a couple Glocks?

Plus sides would be a bigger window and the auto shut off/wake up and vs the Viper you don’t have to completely remove the optic and risk losing zero
