MSRP is $3K, for a scope mounted range finder? Seriously? First, How many in this world have an extra $3K for a rangefinder that only effectively measures a deer type reflective target out to 1,500 yds? Secondly, who needs to shoot at deer 1,500 yards away? Third, So should we just throw away our rangefinders that measures "deer" farther than 1,500 yards? Fourth, Don't you think if anyone is going to shoot that far away at anything they won't need a device to display bullet drop or wind effects already? They will already have that data readily available. Sounds like a neat $3,000 toy, but not for John Q. Public, IMHO. I own many Vortex products, but sorry guys you are out of touch with reality if you honestly believe this $3,000 product is one that many sportsmen want or need. Keep up the good work, but it's not here... my opinion anyway.

@@jessescherf8338 actually it’s a good price, compared to the Wilcox Raptar. It beats the Raptar in every dimensions, price, warranty, mouting system and location, display. The only thing negative is lacking of NV compatibility, which I don’t have anyway.

I don't like price gouging, but you do realize the only other weapon mounted rangefinder is like $10,000 and the company doesnt even like selling to civilians. Sport Optics will probably run some good deals on this at some point. This is a good deal for a ballistics computer and weapon mounted LRF in general. They didn't build it with casual shooters in mind. My cellphone (with ballistic app) and handheld 2400 yard LRF are about half as much and I have to hold the gun and one of them at a time. Gotta pay if you want to play

Infrared lasers are like a beacon for tier on tier death if they are wearing NODs. Moreover, the ranging feature ends once there is an impedance between you and the intended target. There is no free lunch.
