Thank you. Mass is the enemy of mechanisms that must change direction. Always. Velocity just compounds the problem. Those percentages turn into logarithmic force differences.

Have you used the conical valve spring? The conical valve springs are not only lighter but they are shaped to be stronger.

I just up graded my SBF world Jr heads, the Old dual Springs, Retainer, 2 Clips = 2528 (per 2 heads) - New Beehive Spring, Retainer, 2 Clips = 1728 ( 2 heads) now it's 800 grams lighter or a total savings of of 1 LBS 12.OZ . I'm hoping she'll Rev a 1000 RPM higher & be smoother at upper RPM's, with a whole lot less Spring oscillation.

Where do we get the new springs, retainers and locks? What is the material that they are made from? How many duty cycles are they rated for? How do they react to Heat? Where can we see the data please.

Ti = titanium As for specific data, spring manufacturers who did proper spintron testing is a much easier place to start than doing several pages worth of physics calculations - proof is in the pudding. Be assured cup changes were tested. As Chico Marx put it: "Who you gonna believe: me, or your own eyes?"

Are the new ones conical or straight? they look straight? Ovate wire? Are there other advantages besides weight?
