I've not tried this new version yet but I own and love the old version... Was a bit worried when I heard they were changing it because IMO Josh DESTROYED "The Soft Lawn" with the second version of it... Good to hear this reform appears to have worked out better... Great Job as always Daver...

@@helenaaro7017Hi! The new 2.0 is a little longer lasting and more spicy,cinnamon but not overly so to my nose. Layered they are very nice! The burnt smell is also toned down in the new one, but I enjoy both! 😍

I got the original early on. Amazing scent. Much more complex than just a vanilla cone. I ordered another bottle of something else recently and it came with a small sample of Whiff of Waffle Cone. Not sure if it's the new version or just a different batch of the original, but that thing smells wayyyyyy different. Two sprays lasted long on my hand and I had to end up washing it off later it was getting so nauseating. Not getting the waffle cone scent at all. This one comes off more like a yeasty bread scent. Something I've heard regarding another scent from a fragrance house smelling like fresh baked bread. I imagine this might smell like that. This was really unpleasant. Hopefully this sample was just a different batch or maybe was just off...

I'm completely confused now! I bought a sample just before xmas, so I expect I'm smelling a revised version, i.e. without amyris. But I think I smell a heavy dose of balsam in my sample, and now you tell there is none. What's annoying with all these reformulating going on everywhere, when you ask the store "Hi, am I smelling version 1 or 2 here, i.e. what did you sell me?" they usually just shrug "Sorry I don't know🤷" Well, what's the point in sampling then?

that's correct. But I didn't say that. I was referring to how a fragrance macerates. If a fragrance doesn't macerate enough, it won't smell the same as one which has. I mentioned it because I don't know the extent of how long the new version has macerated (though I assume it has done so enough).

I smelled this recently after the hype. Its pure garbage imo. This was prolly cute when gourmands first came on the scene. But nowadays theres tooo many better ones on the market,that perform better. This has no performance &it smelled bad. Not what i expected!!

I found this review to be unsatisfying, as it came across as uninteresting, immature, and poorly executed. It lacked the depth and insight one expects from a thoughtful critique, and instead, it seemed to be filled with superficial observations and juvenile humor. The overall execution of the review left much to be desired, failing to provide any valuable analysis or meaningful perspective on the subject matter. It's disappointing when an opportunity for thoughtful discussion is squandered in favor of a lackluster and immature approach.Thus I am going to refrain from viewing in the near future.
