Thanks Bow tie fragrance guy. Good tips. I like the 3,5,7 rule and the lotion you referred. I also put a little Vaseline on my pulse points. I find that the Vaseline traps the fragrance and gives it longevity. Keep doing your thing and I will catch you on the flip side Lol

I follow that spray regiment, though I spray on the inside of my elbows instead of my wrists, and if I just shaved, then I’ll spray the bare skin behind each ear instead of the sides of my neck , so I’m not irritating freshly shaved skin with alcohol.

For heavy frags, I’d never spray on my neck. It’s just too much, too close to my nose. I recommend men not shave their bodies like a naked mole rat, and utilize that god-given chest hair. I also quit spraying my wrists in favor of my forearms. My wrists get washed along with my hands throughout the day, so it’s a waste. Great vid, man!

I've been trying to get this right for a while. As a young man the old heads taught us less is better. But with EDT vs EDP its hard to get it right. I just ordered my first extrait (we'll see). Most EDPs I only need 2/3 sprays. But you hit it with the wrist, I'm going to have to go back to that.

I always spray kinda heavy (except for the few beasts I own), but that's due to how my skin is with fragrance. I've only ever over sprayed twice in my years of fragrance use. Great video, sir! Keep up the amazing content

Hehe! With fragrances like Versace Man eau fraiche, Boss bottled Tonic and Dior homme cologne I go 15-20 sprays easy. They wont bother anybody anyway. You’ll just smell good.😎💨💨💨💨💨 But great video man! I agree on the rest.👍

What is the best spray distance for projection? When spraying fragrances on skin, especially the wrist, I usually spray 6 inches and the fragrance usually leaves an oily film on the skin (Most of my fragrances are EDP or Parfum concentrations). After the top notes dissipate, the fragrance feels muted and doesn’t project as well. Does Having oily skin help with longevity, but hamper projection? How can I apply EDP and Parfum fragrances with improved projection?

You can get away with over spraying Millesime Imperial by Creed, when I used to have a bottle of it, I would do 10 sprays and get compliments.

Damn I think I’m an oversprayer and I don’t remember ever going over 5 or 6 ,, I’ve choked myself out with a strong scent bubble ( which also makes me a little self conscious, are others being choked out , messing up their meal ?… lol ) Yesterday I wore PDM Pegasus for first time , think I did 3 sprays around neck and one on chest , Had to drive 2 hours .. My poor wife , That first hour it smelled to me like high end bug spray ,, Hours later on the drive home it smelled really nice .. I never do the wrist , so maybe that is why ? I think I’ll try your method

Great video. Only complaint is Sauvage. It smells good but does NOT last longer than 2 hours or so. I have tested all 3 types and none of them have decent longevity "for the money."

I don't like spraying anything on my wrists because once I wash my hands, the scent fades/disappears. If I have to spray on my arm, I spray in the connecting area between forearm and upper arm (antecubital fossa) which is also right by a pulse point and not going to get hit with water.

What would you say about top of the wrist instead of pulse point on the wrist? That way you’re not rubbing the places you applied if you work on a computer or something like that? I heard rubbing can ruin the breakdown of the fragrance and make performance decrease and muddle the notes

Because that lotion helps keep the skin hydrated so the fragrance does not get eaten up by the skin quickly, like it would on dry skin that lacks moisture for hydration. The lotion also creates another barrier between the skin and sprayed fragrance to help slow it down from being burned off by body heat quickly
