I live in Sweden. I got an offer from Volkswagen Sweden to order the GTX Tourer Edition the 5th of June with the price 699900 SEK (valid until last of June). In the Edition version extra equipment worth 145000 SEK was included. Though not the Kings Red, that costed 3000 SEK extra. One thing that surprised me was that the GTX Tourer which is 4Motion has a very large turning circle, while the Pro version with only rear wheel driving has smaller and better turning circle.

Im kind of shocked about the low range even with the bigger battery perhaps you could do a real life comparison between the pro S and the GTX to see if the range really is that much less? Keep up the good work.

5:30 if ID7 charge at max 188 kW, the GTX with 13 modules will likely max charge at 13 / 12 * 188 = ~204 kW because same current but higher max voltage.

If I also understood right, ID. SW 5.3 enables VW Park Pro connection with the remote parking via bluetooth mobile device!

Will it really be relevant..? The iD.3 pro s is 50k, the GTX is 52k and the Model 3 Performance is 55k with double the power... I'm not sure iD.3 GTX plus will be an attractive option...

I don't get it, in the configurator I see the GTX declares less range than the Pro, how is it possible? I was expecting it to be in between the Pro and Pro S.

I know I have my name down for one if it doesn’t come to Canada big disappointment for me is VW scared of competition from Korea and China probably I guess.

​@@johndouthwaite921No that is not the reason. Canada use US car regulation. If Canada allows EU (UNECE) car specification you could have many more EV models in Canada.

@@Foersom_ VW wasn’t going to send US built iD7s to Canada, originally VW was going to send the iD7s from the German plant.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve been holding off buying my next EV waiting for the ID 7, but my current vehicle won’t last much longer. I may have to find the best of a bad selection that’s available here. VW doesn’t understand the NA market at all right now.

The ID7 GTX seems to loose a lot of efficiency compared to Pro S. 19% higher consumption. In comparison the ID4 GTX has only 6,5% higher consumption. I think that is really strange.

I hope the +5000 EUR for the "S" is not just the battery... Does it have more Power like the ID3 gtx so it is not slower in acceleration compared to the smaller battery?

5000€ with no extras seems way too much just for the battery. 3000€ would fare much better for such a small increase in battery size. From the german configurator there are however 2 more diffenrences: - larger battery is even slower, 0-100 in 6.6s instead of 6.5s + however larger battery is more efficient according to the configurator, (77kw battery shows 16,1 - 14,0 kWh/100 km vs. 86kw showing 16,2 - 13,6 kWh/100 km) = that is actually very interesting, everybody was saying that larger battery would be less efficient due to added weight, but if these numbers are true, its actually more efficient (I guess newer technology helped in some way)

@@Foersom_ Initially the UNECE rules did not allow illuminated logos. In 2019, the Chinese regulators(though who have copied a decent lot of rules from UNECE in the automobile perspective) softened this part, and then the European adopted this change in R148 01 series, at 4th January 2023.

We bought an ID4 early, in 2021. We will likely never buy another VW EV. Where are the promised OTA's? VW dosen't care about their customers. Too many other brands to buy from. P.S. The ID4 was our 6th VW, but probably our last.
The VW Id.7 is the best long distance EV !!!
