Note to HOBBY LOBBY, please come to Canada! You killed it as always Emily! The choices at Hobby Lobby are terrific! The peacock ones are gorgeous! If I have the extra money after Christmas, I buy at 50% off, even if they aren't my colors either. I like to have options if I change my mind somewhere down the road. Last year my daughter had her first Christmas with our grandson, and she had a tree, but no decorations. She called and asked about my stash. We brought her everything in purple, and their white tree was beautiful! I usually do white and silver, but I have pink, rose gold, blue, regular gold, teal and black. Now I'll have to stock up on purple again, lol Thanks Emily! Edit: For people who say it's too early, it's about stock availability. If it were closer to Christmas, the stock is picked over and the good stuff is gone. So you can get it while the getting is good, lol!

It is so hard to beat Hobby Lobby but I have to say Wal Mart has really stepped it up. I don't think there is any chain store that can compete with Hobby Lobby as far as Christmas decor is concerned.

Thanks for all the information. I love christmas so much. What are your thought on nutcrackers and gingerbread themes are they making a comeback? I try to buy less small items and maybe 1 or 2 bigger things make a bigger impact. I like the idea of buying the larger ornaments to but in the tree, because in most cases everyone has a lot of small ornaments. Thanks again,

Thank you SO much for doing this. I don't shop at stores much anymore and I would have missed all these beautiful things if you had not done these videos. So far, I have only seen one other Walmart video of this type and yours is much more comprehensive. I also really appreciate the comparison between Hobby Lobby and Walmart. SO SO good Emily!!! I just saw Amy from simply r home yesterday do the tour of Walmart. I don't know what we would do without you amazing Ladies doing these tours. You save us a lot of time and it helps us to know in advance what we may need for the season or rather 'Want' 😅. I really think Walmart has amazing decor items for the holidays. Thanks! I looked at Hobby Lobby and was not all that excited about their stuff, it didn't seem that fresh, although I usually pull out my Christmas stuff to get an idea of how to decorate for the new holiday. I saw another video on Walmart's decorations and looks like their stuff is new and fun. I'm all decorated for fall but my sights are now toward Christmas, so fun! (Im still decorating with my black and white Buffalo plaid so we'll see!)

I would love to be able to completely start over with my Christmas tree decorations. Ive done the same for many years but it just isnt in my budget. Love to watch how your decor is so cohesive and thought out. As I've gotten older my tastes have changed but budget doesnt always adapt!

Years ago I got boxes of deep green velvet ornaments 90% off after Christmas. I was so excited, but on the tree they just kind of disappeared. The velvet ornaments don’t reflect the light they just don’t do anything for the tree. It’s a trend I personally don’t understand. However I’ve found a new use for all those velvet ornaments I bought years ago, I just shove them in any sparse areas of my tree to fill in the gaps.

Totally agree black is my go to for Christmas I normally have an accent color change yearly but my main is black and white. Last year I did black and white with teal and OMGosh it was so pretty. I think I am going black and white with either red or green this year. I already did the rose gold, purple , silver, navy blue. Thanks for sharing loved the new black and white that both stores had.

I just went to Walmart and HL 2 days ago - Walmart is still bringing out their Christmas stuff so the shelves aren't as well stocked yet, while HL has tons and are all sooooo beautiful!! I was so tempted to get stuff from the themes I'd been doing for the past couple of yrs lol, but this year I will be going for gingerbread theme for the first time because I have an 11yr old and an 18month old, and I wanted to make it more kid-relatable this time 😅 I'll definitely wait for your next video!!
