Those sliders are gonna gather dust and become scratchy in no time, especially since they're exactly underneath where your foot would go.

True. But I guess they'll serve as a line of awesome external effect units for synth lovers. :)

@@TheIst0NE Those people don't mind paying for the full-priced models though. In fact, they would rather pay more than pay less for any gear.

@@ErebosGR I disagree. Not all synth lovers are stacked with money, that's just a wrong generalisation. There are kids and people who save for a long time till they can buy a budget hardware synth. For some people, the "affordable" price range for some gear is luxury, and when those people do buy the gear, they buy it for the passion. Because you just can't get lost for 3 hours doodling with a software, only hardware can give you that vibe.

@@TheIst0NE "Because you just can't get lost for 3 hours doodling with a software, only hardware can give you that vibe." That's just wrong. You do know that there are MIDI keyboards with knobs and sliders that can be mapped to control any parameter, right? When people romanticize hardware synths, they're too far gone into the FOMO mindset.

These might need a redesign. Without a couple "roll bars" to keep your settings, you'll have to reset them every time you travel, kick them accidentally, and or bump them when you are doing set up. I'd also be interested to hear from the electrical engineers out there for the longevity of a potentiometer vs a slider. Which one will break sooner? The slider is fairly impressive, but if I'm in need of fixing them after X number of years vs. a pot replacement I think I may be a little apprehensive.

I guess it depends on the quality of the slider, I see so many in modern products without any felt or liner to stop dust etc I don't see knobs moving Vs sliders moving as an issue as 99% of musicians I see are carrying a pedalboard in a case. I never see pedals loose on the floor at shows these days. I do agree that stepping on the face of the pedal looks like a big risk!

Yeah you gotta redesign it, reinnovate it, making it much more effective, efficient, reliable, trustworthy, resonating, reverbing and cost effective. 1🤘❤️✌️🫶

What you described is no different than standard knobs. Traveling and gigging with any pedal, knobs get bumped all the same. If you're doing something on stage that would bump a slider, it'll move a knob as well. And we warranty these the same as all our products. If something breaks, we'll fix it!

Those sliders are going to move & every time you travel you'll change your settings. Not cool. They'll be to much readjusting.

Ok slides and knobs from my experience gig wise the regular knobs also move pretty easy that's why some people tape it, sliders and knobs gets dirty and you eventually may need contact cleaner it, its possible to solder a replacement for both but it depends of the board on how hard it will be,...

At around 150€ a piece I'd be pressed to call that budget. That board on the floor would be 1000€+, the price of a fair guitar plus amp (with effects included, say a boss katana).

It might be the wrong decision to release such a stripped down, fundamental series. If you cut down the costs by deleting everything about a product that makes it appealing to us customers like a fancy enclosure, cool graphic arts and even a cool name then it becomes just any pedal. To me it is quite obvious that such a unified look of a range of pedals reveals how interchangeable pedals and the sounds they offer finally are. Pedals are hardly about sound. We want to collect them, love them and find them special. Those bread and butter pedals aren‘t. Is it the last gasp of a boutique market that hardly is about innovation but rather recycling? Digital products interest me much more these days.

Those boutique companies were seeing DIY kits and private builders making money, so they decided to push them out of the market.

I think faders is such a bad, bad idea at this size scale. Difficult to grab and pin point a selection. When time passes and get grease inside will be even more sticky. Sorry, but I would not buy them for faders only.
