As a teen in the 80s in Canada, we still had the old style cans and machines, the cans with the double rim construction and the "two button" tops. We had a field trip down to boston, and that was the first time I saw a new machine and the "new" style cans (the same we have today). So this really takes me back... Just got my order in today. As stated, these guys do really put some effort into the details on the reproductions.

That little guy is actually much cooler than i originally thought it would be when i first heard about it, bet i could fit atleast 6 redbulls in that thing! Loved the tiny coke cans that was a nifty little addition.

I wish I had room in the house for the Coca Cola Machine by New Wave. If I ever somehow find room down the road I think I would just display this. I remember when a 12oz Coke or my favorite Mountain Dew Regular were 50 cents when I was in High School. I ❤️ how your video,so detailed!

I do hope they make a pepsi one. I was a HUGE pepsi fan in the 80s, but oddly enough I can't stand it now (Dr Pepper for the win!). Hopefully they can just skin these when they are done and do a series, there's guys that would buy Mt Dew for sure...etc.

I was jazzed when I saw your Coca-Cola Zero Sugar insertion. The video went downhill from there. Haha I have this unit and it's been my least favorite from New Wave Toys. Not sure what I was expecting but this doesn't bring the joy. On a side note, literally, while typing this comment, my phone gave me a notification stating Ghosts 'n Goblins is out for delivery.

Thats brilliant. Wish they where able to sell it to UK customers, some licensing agreement with coke preventing them from selling outside North America. I would certainly pick that up, looks great and great review of it. Loved the Mod :P

If you look closely at the dark spots around the edges and particularly in the upper corners, it makes it look like the indented rim on the top of a real can of Coke. It’s one of the many many marketing gimmicks Coca Cola hid in their vending machines and New Wave replicated so very well here.

I take it back. I get their business model and the pricing now. The Cleveland interview was insighful. Still think $160 is too high, but I don't have to pay the contract manufacturer, materials, logistics and SG&A for staff. Net present value is hard.

Yeah, I got this machine also, and I am a bit disappointed in the hotspot lighting. It's not a dealbreaker, but definitely makes it feel like a cheaper souvenir you'd find in a random gift shop. Not really up to the New Wave Toys standard. vgv

PDubs, I do prefer NY Style, but do enjoy a thick slice of Chi-town now and again. There's a place I used to go to called Rocky Mountain Pie that made a killer Chicago Style Pizza where they soak the crust in butter. So good! And though I'm also a Coke-a-Cola guy, I don't mind me some Pepsi from time to time. In fact, one of my favorite diet Pepsi products is their Pepsi Mango. I understand it's an "either-or" for some folks, but I'm glad I can indulge in both. Thanks as always for the great content! Can't wait until we get our Ghosts 'n Goblin machines! vgv
