The N64 is definitely one of the most fascinating video game consoles out there. Thanks for making this video and showing us this trick! Also, cool kiosk setup--looks very fancy.

i agree and with what is known today so many optimization can be made to make a game run good.

Just tried it and thank you, works great. Somehing I noticed: one of the metal battery clips will rattle, so I removed it. Plus it will remind you that the pak no longer needs batteries.

no problem! yeah i forgot to mention removing that lol.

Makes me wonder why they didn't just do that in the first place. More support for rumble paks would have probably happened as it would be smaller and you wouldn't have to keep changing batteries.
@Davidevgen2 жыл бұрын
from what i heard only two runble paks can be used any more that there wouldnt have been enough power. but they could have added a little more amps so that all the rumbles could be ran.
@Blazi32 жыл бұрын
@@Davidevgen makes sense, I've only really thought of using rumble for 1 player but there was a much bigger focus then on local multiplayer. Though I can't imagine many people would have owned 4 rumble paks.
@Davidevgen2 жыл бұрын
@@Blazi3 i owned 4 at the time. but im the only one the used them lol. i raerly had 4 friends to play on my n64.
@penguinjay Жыл бұрын
@@Davidevgen you can definitely run more than 2 of these all at once, I wouldn't haha, but there is enough power. I think it actually draws TOO MUCH power through the N64 console and Fs it up somehow is the way I understand it. Rumble paks went to batteries mid development after seeing the moderate success of another console that put 4 players stock in their system and this mid development shift is why (I think) these mods are possible in the first place, what luck! Thanks again for sharing this, I think it's amazing. I played starfox 64 in the kiosk just like this back when I was 8 and it blew me away. The rumble was intense for a little kid. I'm still playing that game. I guess whenever the algorithm decides this should be known is when this will be known haha. You'll probably have a million views on this eventually. 💯💯💯 kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2mYZod4rZeGd5I here's my vid, it's not that great, but it's meh okay.

Very, very epic of you to show us this!! Man what a classic this N64 kiosk. Love it! How much did you got it for I'm curious ? (Also that's a fine Test Cartridge you've got in it right there! :) If you know it, Rev. A or Rev. B?)
@Davidevgen2 жыл бұрын
its a rev A ive had the test cart for years. it wasnt cheap. i picked up two things a nintendo neon repair sign that nintendo repair shops had and the kiosk. i bought both for 4500. a gamers paradise is closing their doors and the guy called me up and said you can buy it, im done. before it wasnt for sale.

great to know thank you, i was just looking online for replacement battery terminals and stumbled across this video. my only concern is has anyone noticed or heard that draining power from the console for the rumble...does it lead to any console damage? just curious. thanks

Hi could you please tell me the wire size that are connected to the rumble pack motor. Mine broke and I am trying to repair it. Don't know if they are 26 awg or 28 awg gauge. Thank you so much. Sometimes you can see the awg on the wires I was just wondering if you could see it on yours thank you.

thats cause i havent logged in in 6 months cause of youtube forcing creators to have to verify via the smart phone. i got tired of it. but they havent been forcing it so i guess they took the requirement out. ive been fine. very busy though with my buissness and computer repair and more.
