Thanks Mark!! Ya a lot of the newer pits like the Traeger and this new Weber says to keep the lid closed. I have both the new Traeger's and they start up just fine so I decided to roll the dice on the Weber too. I think I am going to do a simple no wrap rib cook and see how it performs, on the Stealth I noticed the BBQ seemed a tad drier. The Searwood also has a lot of air flow in that chamber so this is a good test for me to see if there is a difference!

Many of the new style pits with the back venting and not a stack say you no longer need to open the lid. I never open my Traeger’s anymore during start up.

One question please: Does this “Weber Searwood Pellet Grill” replace the Smokefire? Or to put it another way: In addition to grilling, can you smoke with the new Searwood just as well as with the Smokefire?

Definitely subscriber… Great videos!! Have mine coming soon. Question for you if you get it… Can you use this thing outside in the winter and if so, if it’s covered over well, can you leave the pellets in it or should they be drained after every use because of the dampness maybe? Newbie here so your Chanel is giving some valued information 👌 thanks gain for any info you can provide. ))
@SmokedBBQSource2 ай бұрын
Yes you can use it outside in the winter, it might just use more pellets to keep the temps up compared to a 95° day in the summer! As far as the pellets, if you don't plan on using it for a couple days, I still suggest you dump them out so they don't swell up and give you other issues. Enjoy that new Searwood!!! I like mine!!

Just assembled my 600 this evening. That little bag with the yellow paper and extra screws are just that… extra screws (says so right on the yellow paper.) All of the screws with the blue lock-tight on them are used for the legs and shelf. You shouldn’t have had to use the other 6 unmarked screws. Great vid just the same.
@SmokedBBQSource9 ай бұрын
The lock tight bolts didn't fit in 2 holes but the extra bolts worked. I showed you exactly where WE had to use them. We have assembled 100's of pits so this wasn't our first rodeo. So AGAIN this was the only way we could get the cart together. My guess is that most of the mounted tap nuts were burred inside and the lock tight wouldn't go through even with a heavy duty T handle Allen wrench. Glad you had better luck with yours. Thanks for watching!

Interesting to see that Weber has redesigned and rebranded the old "Catch on fire" - I mean SmokeFire. - lol - It looks very positive at first impression. As a previous Qstoves+ user, I recently made the switch to Asmoke and I've been absolutely thrilled with my decision. The first thing that stood out to me was Asmoke's ability to control the temperature within 5°F - it's made my grilling experience incredibly consistent. I also love the versatility of the Asmoke grill. I can grill, smoke, roast, and even bake, all with one appliance. The wood pellet fuel source has also introduced a distinct smoky flavor that has taken my barbecue to new levels. Plus, it's battery-powered and portable, allowing me to take it on camping trips and tailgate parties. I also appreciate the environmentally friendly aspect of using wood pellets. The Asmoke grill has truly transformed my grilling experience and I couldn't be happier. #Asmoke
