Don't put pipe for air filter on the left side keep away from the hot side if you've got the room need to keep the filter on the intake side, watched this car come along amazing fabrication skills can't wait to see it on a track someday!

This car is without a doubt one of the best on KZbin. I love how it is all built in house and built to a budget. I even like the fact that it uses an MX5 engine and not not a multi thousand-pound crate V8. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with a V8 it's just nice to see something that will be usable and reasonable on fuel. This car will even be, dare I say practical. After all it's just an MX5 which is a great car with a cool looking 100e body. Plus lots of other cool things to make it individual. Keep up the good work. Respect.

My do you have a good taste in wheels. From the thumbnail I didn't think I'd like them but they fit the car perfectly. Indeed maybe even more so then the first set. I'd be tempted to make the insert black as they do resemble the ever so popular ATS's (well this side of the pond in the 80's and 90's) quite well. Just amazing how it ties it all together. Hard to imagine it being made out of all the rusty pieces you started out with.

Just an observation... those front light bezels would look awesome the same color as the new rims. It'd be a nice coordination of the front. Kinda tying things in. Maybe look at a cheap second set of front bezels and rattle can paint them to match. See if you like the look?

Yeah, those are my favorite style wheel. I've watch all your mongrel videos. I just realized that I had one of those cars in a two door wagon style body as my first car. I knew that front end looked familiar, I just couldn't remember it till this video. Of course that was in 1963 or so. Getting old is a hoot lols.

Been following the build from the start and well done well except for the flared arches. We had the same issue on our Austin and ended up splitting the body and making it 6 inches wider.

When you're fitting tires to alloy wheels with your tire machine it's recommended to open the jaws before you put the wheel on then close them onto the wheel and grip it from the outside, because alloy is softer than steel gripping them from the inside will defiantly leave marks on your wheels and they can sometimes slip off the jaws and leave gouges in the wheel, looking good though.
