Silent witch is not a good idea. If you're going to play townie and hang the mafia, and witch nobody, you're better off just being afk. I can see not witching n1 or n2, but never witching anyone only helps town beat you and the other evils. For all you know you'd have found a maf n1 or ww/vigi n2 and totally changed the game. People tend to panic and mislynch town when witches are in games. To each their own, I just don't agree with ya this time.

john elliott i recently played a game where i witched people into veteran so they died and no one knew there was a witch in the game. i found the gf on d3 and had him kill vet. eventually, it came down to me, the mafioso, jailor, doc, and mayor. doc had jailor jail mayor to protect them from death, but i witch jailor into killing mayor which only worked because no one knew i was witched and maf won

This is very true. I've tried being silent which before waiting for a TK to expose themselves before I witch, but town is usually too strong and can find mafs quick before that works successfully. Witch causing chaos from the first night is the best way to play her

Please. The first mafia died because Skimm voted him up! Evils had majority. There was only 4 townies to 5 evils. If he didnt frame in chat and voted máfia wouldn't "die so early". 😠

I hear ya, there are other ways of discovering mafia than witching though. And when you witch town becomes very protective of their TK claims and start lynching LO claims. Now...there was no way of me knowing there would be so many LOs in the game!

In my experience paying attention and figuring out who mafia is without witching only works some times, most often some other town also has suspicion of them if you do as well which probably means theyll be investigated or lynched before you can really message them and let them know who you are

Crying Cat-Man the WW wouldn't kill the jailed person, it's a good thing you didn't visit anyone since the LO's would have spotted you quickly but even though the evils we're rather obvious they town had majority without you and was voting them. They died cause of their weak give ups, mafioso didn't claim well with 2 TS and 3 dead TI, and the GF just complained about maf claiming bad when he didn't claim squat "why claim med on day 5 no will"... It was day 3 and only 1 dead why would he need a will lol.

I understood this tactic, it could've worked out well to divert away from a Witch possibility so a vig could come out and they would be reluctant to lynch you incase of a Jester once Jailor was dead. Unfortunately the 3 Lookouts and a Transporter worked too much against you for this and too many got found out quickly, but I can see it working better in a game with better luck. Too many confirmed town from day 2 for evils to win this (both TI, TP, TS, and 2xRT were both confirmed Day2 pretty much.. not much claim space). If you controlled the Vig you would've been best off going for Transporter, there was no way he wouldn't transport Jailor.

This is how I always play witch, and it works most of the time. The reason it didn't go so well this game is a mafia who played like donkeys and transporter may'be hurt a bit but not too much.

Funny story, I had a game with mafia where it was 2 mafia, 2 confirmed town (Myself the Trans, and a Vet) and the witch. Instead of giving up I told witch I was mafia and that one of the mafia members were actually Town. Veteran voted with me. I pushed them up and had them hang being framer, Witch didn't realize that we had just basically won the game. I transed myself and Witch, Veteran alerts. GF killed Witch and we hung Gf. And that's kinda why you don't give up in TOS/TOL. One idiotic Witch lost the game for evils.

When are you going to get a Witch Solo Win? Those are hard but I've done it and I'd like to see if you could :P. Also it's not hard to win as witch. For every witch game I've lost, I've won 3. That's a 1-3 ratio for loses to wins. Claim Investigator as witch. Works almost every single time.

I was witch one game and had an epic win! I used the same tactic, I did not witch no one, so town can feel comfortable enough. Sooner or later a tk pops up. Ok, I control them into another townie and mafia killed the vig I controlled that night. Gosh, the luck. Maf and I were not working together at the time. Pretty much, no one could not confirm a witch because of course the people that got witched died ☺️ Near endgame I think to myself: “Hmm, should I play as a jester?” Sure enough, a townie came out saying the jester is making no plays. I come out saying plz kill me plz kill me and he says no jester XDXDXDXD So, sadly enough maf started playing dumb and I sides with the WW and I was like GG WW we win! That townie was like huh? I told him you just got played by the witch 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 He accepted defeat and unlike many players he admitted he got played!

I tried a witch tactic once. I liked it. Since my invest roles are Lo,forger,witch, I chose lookout. I found mafia n1 and said mafioso killed the person who died. He was hanged. His role was mafioso. I was confirmed. The problem to this strategy if you didn’t realize is that you need to sacrifice an evil. You need the evils to win so you can win. Since I was confirmed, ww killed me and I lost cause I died. If you die as witch and evil win, you lose cause you dead

Normally what I do is find the mafia and then ask what they want to claim and act as investigator and then say I invested them and confirm them. Works quite often.

The reason why I hung him is cause he claimed me immune after I was saved by the doc. Rainix So town protection or lookout is on them. Confirms a couple roles if there’s a lookout and guarantees an important role protection at least for a night. I don’t like it because it makes TP/LO/Mafia boring to play, but what can you do?

Certainly didn't work out! I don't think it's such a terrible tactic though. When town knows there's a witch they get more likely to vote up, they hide their TK claims. I think it would have worked out had I been able to witch the vigi that one night, killing 2 town at once and removing their voting power.

Too risky imo. It *can* work but it's not a good play. (You will make TP and LO be on you and waste the night, but that's all, real vet will claim, people vote you up, or jailor exes you N2 and you're dead. Not really that fun to die early)

Its hard to win with witch? its the easiest role. Witch is overpowered, it can control and know the roles of people, you can control jailor to kill townie and erase him from the game, you can control vigi to shoot townie to eliminate 2 threats at once, if you find mafia you can vote with them and quickly get majority. The thing you can't do is to not use your ability and keep voting with town.
