I believe this build is super OP I was having a really hard time in Wildspace with 43,000 gear score and rare enchantments. After redoing my toon and following your fighting and set up guide I no longer have any problems thank you so much.

VoS store boots (7500 CA with full stamina) are good for wizards if you can put them there. Elemental Reinforcement grants 7% buff to specific "element" iirc. So if you use chill (7%), lightning (another 7%) and arcane (another another 7%) all together it's possible to get 21% buff, but you would have to always keep the same elemental rotation. Usually it's possible to keep 14% up I think. Assailing Force is ST feat. That or if you have other wizard in the group, because Snap Freeze is... weird. It only checks number of chill stacks applied and if it reaches 6 (total), it stops working for other wizards. At least it was like that last time I checked. Might be wrong here. I would not use Arcane Tempest on mastery slot. Radius is waaay too small for it to work. Also did you notice that Lightning Bolt direction is weird? It launches where your character is looking and causes issues with aiming. It should really work like cleric's Javelin or just draw the line like in mod15. My rotation for AoE arcanist is pretty much the same all the time: Icy Terrain/Steal Time - Steal time/Icy Terrain - Arcane tempest - Desintegrate (mastery - to finish off mobs). Check it out :) Otherwise pretty solid build I'd say. Not bad.

Only thing I'd say is for aoe alot of wizards are running primal boots from chult for the ap gain they can't be beat if u can still balance stats

Hello Aragon! I've always liked the wizard, especially the MoF for its mechanics and skill animations. I would like to go back to playing the thaumaturge, but I have a doubt. Is the thaumaturge good for AoE? Is it on par with the arcanist? Or is there no competition between the two? If you have already said this in the video, I apologize, unfortunately I do not understand much English.

Yea I have an AoE Thaumaturge loadout made for 100% ice powers, since there are 4 ice encounter attacks! With Icy Terrain on your special slot you can cast it at a distance, then with Conduit of Ice, Chill Strike, & Icy Rays everything will be either dead or frozen haha

Great video. I like Steal Time after Arcane Tempest since Arcane Tempest knocks them to the ground and Steal Time has a bit of a long cast time. Cheers

What about a brand new player with no good gear let alone great? Tried the rogue assassin and the damage was good but she couldn't hold up to damage. Mostly solo player. I should add that I'd like to try a wizard and I have an old sucky rogue at lvl 20 I can switch over.

Better to use phase spider, since the bigger they are is only good against enemies with 3 or more dots above their Hp bars

I was going to say you could also switch potent precision with perfect vision and run with the wolf, wolf Instincts give 7.5 crit sev so stats would be the same but will be cheaper, but then i checked AH and they cost like 2mil for green lol think i paid like 180k for an epic one i used to main a wizard before switching to tank might take a look at it since all it's campaigns are done except the reworked ones and have a few extra bone ridges on my tanks so could get some decent gear

​@@Aragon- yeah i have soradiel and drizzt so i could change black dragon and the accuracy comp with them they give half each of crit and crit sev and run perfect vision and still have the same stats. lol turns out i used my wolf on my pally. The hawk and halfling thief also has the same stats they cost like 150k ad for both on blue so there is a good alternative that's cheap atm anyway xD

I think you need to say which Guild Boons you are using, as not every Guild has the same Boons. We can use Power or Accuracy, Run or Ride Speed, Defence and I forget the others. Except we have the Explorer's Guild one, but not for Dungeons etc. Cheers! {:o:O:}

This is just a technical question, (I'm still grinding my CW atm) but given the fact that arcanist has the chance to proc CA on every target, why is that is not as good on single target damage. I've not been in the PBE, so I couldn't test it myself, hence the weird question 😅. I do love smolder and DoT damage in general, but to put it in a simple way, why did you choose that set up?

When in ST you should be the opposite side as the tank so no need to prco CA

Simple, on ST the tank should have the aggro and all dps should stay behind him which means getting CA on the boss regardless

yeah, as the others said, combat advantage can be simply gained by flanking your target. Very doable in nearly all boss fights (exceptions are like Tiamat and the Turtle in FBI)

edit: Have they fixed the odd interaction between Chill stacks and Freeze? You know, the thing that prevented Snap Freeze from reaching its full potential. Exactly what I am waiting for! i will just use Shield because solo play, obviously. 4th Enc, alongside the character name, is undecided. Oh and I am a bigger fan of Striking Advantage than of Nightmare Wiz. Oh and the lightning daily is a must! The ... Maelstrom of Chaos. Regardless, it's going to be a fun time! Already have cosmetics and everything ready for the new 1 - 20(and beyond)!

you'd have to explain more what the bug was. Atm it makes Icy Terrain deal nearly double damage with Snap Freeze procing on every hit

ok so the way Snap Freeze works with mod 24 is that, you deal 70 magnitude damage each time a chill stack is APPLIED to the enemy! This means if the enemy has a max of 6 stacks, you can no longer deal chill damage to them, until the chill stacks expire. Re-applying chill stack, to just refresh the duration of your chill stacks, does not proc Snap Freeze, since you are not actually applying another chill stack, just refreshing the duration. I do not think this is a bug, otherwise it would make Ray of Frost overpowered in Single Target damage.

@@Aragon- Ah, cheers, I have a Legendary BtA Stamina. All the others are Epic. I have the same collars as you! Except I swap Legendary Stamina for Epic Outgoing Healing on my Cleric Healer. I was thinking of getting a few others for the Tank and Wizard. Maybe At Will Dmg and Recharge or APG for the Tank? Maybe Crowd Control Bonus, Crowd Control Resistance and Recharge or APG for Wizard. I have a few Account-Bound Collar packs somewhere, and an Epic is not too expensive. Of course, all my characters have two Blue Character Bound Collar bags. Arcanist AoE? I used to like the Lightning At Will, with Steal Time, Lightning Bolt etc, but I've found the Thaumaturge to be better for AoE for ages. It will be nice to see how this new Arcanist build works, as your Feats differ to mine in a few places. Cheers! {:o:O:}

I play what people want me to play. I will still play on my Rogue until I actually build up my Wizard on Live to where I want it. I play whats needed in my group. If it's Tank, I go paladin or Fighter, whatever I'm feeling. But Paladin if it's master content. For healer, it's Paladin or Bard, and for Dps is was just Rogue and now will be Wizard a bit, if I get it built up to where I want it.
