Scholarship (and thus longer stay of the student) is, I believe, strictly useful for helping students to graduate. You only get Research Point for graduating Students, so if the Students don't finish their course withing the time they're staying, you won't get any point for them. So in the beginning, it's probably not really worth it to give any scholarship. My guess is that that's gonna come later on in the game with more difficult courses where you see students fail, so giving them a scholarship if they're staying for shorter times will help with that.

The 2D art is so darn good, but it puts everything else to shame. The UI needs to get a prettier overhaul, too many boxes and boring font - not the top screen UI though, that's looking good.

Yes, that was the first thing I thought when I saw that splash screen. All the game icons are from art libraries too, which isn't inherently bad, but it certainly makes the game look generic.

Welcome to the future. Small studios and solo devs can now create temporary artwork so you can play their game. As an artless person who would like to make games, I’m ecstatic about this. If I were an artist, I would still celebrate because it means so many more games that will need to hire me when they get out of demo land.

@@vosechu That's not really how it works. I'm in the games industry and while placeholder art is very common - it's common for prototypes and alpha builds, or as part of a pitch build, not for game demos intended to go public. It's very obvious that this isn't placeholder art, this is what they intend for the final product. I don't want to get into an AI art discussion - that's been done to death - just stand by what I've said, that the art is incredibly generic. For a game about a wizard school, a supposedly fantastical and magical place, that feels like a mortal sin.

He did? I have heard that pronounciation from other places. It is pronounced "vai·kownt" and that's how I heard Potato pronounce it at 4:27 :)
