I think we need to be blown away with something that nobody expects. If it's just swimming, hippos, barbershop, sandworm type raid, gear score increase, new weapon, and more of the same that we've gotten in past updates, then it's going to be disappointing.

I don't know if I could handle another gear score increase. I re-grinded everything the last time, but damn that was awefull for nearly no reason...

@@Sadoruro Your enot wrong but there should always be increases, that's how this game content will work but they need to make it meaningful. It really did feal like for no reason.

I love the idea of new world 2.0. Big world remake and can even change some of the geography to introduce a new area.

New World "2.0" is something I've been talking about on stream for the last 2-3 months, Sadly I don't think AGS would ever go for that but, its my biggest hope

I'd love a form of re-forging. those items from mutations with dead stats I'd love to reforge. Even if you limit to one perk if you want to keep some mystery. would be cool

a one perk change wouldn't be too OP as ill be honest 99% of the gear I get have either 0 good perks or 1 max so re rolling 1 useless one to make it a "2 perker" wouldn't be too bad

I love the war queue idea with a leaderboard. This would breathe new life into the game.

I remember it in Guild Wars 1, it was amazing content, and would keep those 'War Loggers' continuously playing the game rather than playing 3-4 hours a week

Data files and the dev video they did show that they have match making coming. Once you have that Ranked is the next step. You never mentioned Vampires and Werewolves, everyone is assuming the next story is involving them. Can't see more than one weapon; it's a waste of content giving us 2 and the same time, they would space them out, but it's so hard for them to do a new weapon (it's basically a "class") i.e. be unique in the role it provides, balance etc So very unlikely they even have two weapons ready. Personally, like you I think, I don't care about raids/pvp/swimming/etc. If there is no end-game loop then I'll play for the 2-3 weeks, max out and then stop again.

I've not seen or heard anything of vampires and warewolves ? :P But tonight we hope for some big things, Just seen PS5 store leaked the New World Aeturnum" a few hours ago so its coming to PS5 for sure so far

@@LiamHYT Not seen it? Duke, Jay, Baggins all mention it. The very end of the EW questline has a voice over and image with Vampires and Werewolves (and some bigger Cuthulu type evil).

Good video! I agree with you on what they need to do. The unfortunate thing is that they won't be able to execute it. Something about this team is just horrible. They can't get the math right, they can't get the content right, almost all of the weapons and abilities are bugged or not working. I'm a near 2k hour player since launch, I've been in top clans and wars. The exploits and inability of the team to fix these exploits and punish the rmt and exploiters is egregious. I truly want to see New World change for the better, but I have lost faith in this team to execute anything other than fake hype videos and lies to try and bring in the money. It's truly sad. No one ever talks about the real problems with cheaters and rmt in New World. It's a massive issue that keeps getting swept under the rug even by AGS. I hope for the same things you do LiamH. /crossing my fingers and not holding my breath hoping for a change in the right direction.

Glad you agree with my "hopes" for the game I'm like you, played since day 1 and some betas, nearly 4k hours, im not a simp for this game, I see the issues and it is sad tbh, lets hope this is the announcement / update that the game needs

I put the game down in late Jan (Saurazal - El Dorado) when I realized it wasn't scratching an itch anymore. Sad to see they didn't do much w/ it since. I've contemplated installing again, but really don't want to get sucked into something I can't pause. Swimming might be a game changer, but they've talked about it for quite some time. I won't hold my breath...

So swimming is confirmed from the devs in a recent dev video where they "hinted" at it but they basically told us its coming, Make sure you watch the summer games fest June 7th to see what NW announce

One of the biggst issues I have with the game and has ALWAYS had with it, is the fact that gear simply isn't exciting to get. It doesn't matter when you get it, it always feels the same. They add new gear that LOOKS different, but the stats and perks are always the same. Boring and generic. Give us something that REALLY changes our abilities and ways to play.

I agree, It used to be pre expansion imo, I had several "2 perker" full sets of gear then BAM you drop a 3 perker BIS item from an M10 and you can add a little bit of an upgrade to your set. Gear post expansion IMO has been so lackluster

wars not tied to territory control would save the game. Alot of the issue is in leadership not wanting to risk slotting someone whos not proven. Imagine you have 5 newer players wanting to get war, are you going to risk slotting those 5 people for wars if theres a chance they lose you the war and ruin the other 45 people's experience. If you could war without it being tied to owning territory you remove that entire thought process/interaction

truuu, but also, theres only 1 war that night for you and your company, and you want to play, whos giving up those spots for new players to have a go? probably not many :( a queueable war system for company vs company like in Guild Wars 1 would revitalise the war scene IMO and massively up that 2% of the playerbase

I dont understand M3 loot pool, if I can beat M3 with lower gear, what is the gear coming from M3 even being used for? It's not needed to complete the content.

more builds so you can play different roles in M3's and some of the gear can be taken over to PvP builds aswell if you want to play Wars, OPR's, 3v3's etc, but very rare to get a good enough piece post expansion tbh :(

@@LiamHYT I mean yeah, how am I going to get better gear from a dungeon when the season pass let me craft BiS pretty much? Raise the GS so I can get higher versions of the same perk gear? I think everything just needs some kind of overhaul.

Only one question comes to my mind....How is it possible for a game with so bad reputation to suddenly flood it's servers with so many ppl that they launched shards?? Like the console players won't search NW and learn the background and the story of the game and devs?? What I want to ask, how can someone trust those devs after so many fouls?

No one has returned to this game in relation to the shard system, don't forget AGS are making a new Lord of The Rings MMO so NW is a testing ground for everything that will probably go live on that MMO from Day1, so shard system is either just a pre test for that or they hope to get more players back to the game post announcement on June 7th and then the shard system reduces load on the servers and maybe even raising server cap to 4k, 5k etc

@@LiamHYT My point wasn't for the shards particularly, I just wanted to point out the trust issues we have with that dev team....cuz we know who they are, so ppl that know them are they gonna trust them in the LoTR MMO;;; idk, I hope for the best for the LoTR MMO and for NW and for things to get better and better!!

@@SynysterVapeS92 yeah I agree the trust with the current game/dev team is incredibly low, the only thing I'll say about the LOTR mmo is, no one has bought it, spent money on it etc etc, theres no loss for us MMO / Lotr enjoyers, we just potentially have another game to play in a few years, if it looks to be trash when the alpha's and beta's come out then so be it, no harm done

PvP Zone map without any objecives, rewards etc is not point to attend... Thy should add some outposts and camps with building mechanism to open access for marine merchant trade runs, naval combat, buffs to guild etc. Without these kind of unique features, there is no point if noone will join for long term gameplay in pvp perspective. No reason to raise any hype or high expectations from NW anymore. Current NW players are test subjects for new LOTR mmorpg development, thy use players like how Archeage 1 players are used for Archeage 2... NW is the new Archeage 1 with same problems and end at the end, nothing more. We get no real content and no real fixes etc. New or returning players cannot survive against old, p2w, RMT players at this game... This game is all about gear based gameplay for both pvp and pve where players, guilds etc are all wanting other players to be geared like them. The game is so dead in EU region... Game is boring. It is better to test out Quinfall.

I agree with everything you said except the RMT and pay to win. I have over 6k hours in this game and have done wars and OPR and all the content available with and without a guild and have never seen any RMT or Pay to Win at all. Perhaps it is different in EU but idk.

Yeah theres like 1% P2W in new world if you count the 5k gold you get from the paid season track and the odd item you could sell for a few K, but yeah they need a big revamp for PVP, UNLESS they are just happy focussing on PvE like it looks like for the last 2 years

Naw for you to say the console release wouldn't help Any is hilarious look at eso, BDO, and final fantasy online. All benefited greatly due to the console release. I can see it kick starting a ton of new content

Uh huh. How many people do you know who play strictly console? Most people I know have pc and console and have no interest in touching this game. All the purely console players I know play cod or destiny and have no interest in new world. Also strictly console players are bouncers. They play multiple games and dont have a long retention time on games

Being a console player on eso myself I can tell you the community is huge and thats not even cross platform. Majority of that community also plays other mmos on console because unlike your friends who own both many can't or don't and this is there only way to access an MMO it's not as big of a selection as pc no shit your pc friends aren't interested they got the choice out of hundreds lmfao

1 difference @thegood_bro , Those other MMO's you listed that went to console where not averaging a peak of 6k players playing the game at the same time of the day (lets estimate 80-120k individual players still playing NW daily / weekly based off the peak daily numbers) - those other MMO's where in much better positions and higher rep than NW, you go search NW on youtube you will see 999999 vids trash talking this game, if the console players do ANY research on the game before buying they will be put off for sure. So yeah thats why I don't expect 500k, 1mil, 2mil console sales etc, unless something crazy changes with the state of the game from this announcement my guess is 50-200k console sales (maybe you get more from game pass as people will give most games on there a go if your already subbed to it)

@LiamHYT You haven't played any of those MMOs on console have you? Your pc aren't you? This is what pc people fail to understand while yes there are way better choices then new world out there for pc there's atleast 10 I can list that are "better" but then you go to console uhh dude new worlds gonna be top 10 because there's about that many in the first place. And let's be honest everyone crying about new world all have hundreds plus hours in the game if it was "terrible" no one would have played it that long and no one would still be crying in the comments or making videos about the game. It's because we all actually enjoyed the game and are sad there's no more.

@@TheGood_Bro I played ESO on Xbox when it released after already playing it on PC on launch - Also yes we continued to play this game all this time but alot of that is because of new worlds potential, and the devs constantly promising more and keeping us waiting the last 6 months and then this... console release....
