After coming full circle with trying everything out I’m back to the bow and spear. I see mixed videos with what you have and the build you had in the beginning with sweep and javelin. Which one would you recommend more for pvp? I know the full right tree is dps but do you feel you’re lacking cc from the right side of the tree?

I am lacking CC, but I'm fine with that. I never feel like I'm missing Javelin or Sweep. They're just too inconsistent. Rather than try to control a fight with CC, I'd rather finish it off quicker with raw DPS. The heavy CC setup of Javelin/Sweep/Vault Kick is good for 1v1 fights against light-medium armor opponents, but it's awful against bruisers and tanks because they have infinite grit, so over half your spear skills become useless. If your server has more mages and other squishies, you can get away with the more CC-focused build. My server is loaded with axe boys and hammer harrys, so I need more raw DPS.

@@NWSwill thanks for the reply and info. And good point cause I was fighting a hatchet guy as well and the cc was less than useless lol. But yea we have lots of axe and hammers. Do you run that for wars? I haven’t been in one yet but being a glass cannon with a rapier was really boring for me

@@LibertyOrDeath87 My go to setup for the spear is the one I showed at the end of this video - Vault Kick/Skewer/Perforate. That’s what I use in wars, and when I really want to try my hardest in open world PVP and OPR. I will sometimes switch the skills around for fun, but when I want to really try my best, that’s what I go with.
