I’ve been thinking about buying this game but it seems pretty dead! How grindy is it to gear up as a new solo player?

It's not very grindy at all in terms of getting gear, prob one of the least grindy MMO's out there. They just finished revamping the main story too. The player base is low right now as many feel there is a lack of end game, but you definitely get your moneys worth. The devs have said there is a big announcement coming in June too so should be some new content coming then too!
