LOL I love how they always have a plan for "next year". Last year I distinctly remember them saying 2024 is going to be the year of New World. It really doesn't look like it at all.

No PvP content no more Content at endgame player this game make me chest run > crafting daily > dungeon > opr and loop, boring

I have tested this several times over the last couple of months The mitigation difference between full light and full heavy is ONLY 28%, iow, if you are full heavy and someone is full light being attacked by the same person, the full heavy will only take 28% less dmg than the full light and frankly this isn't much. Now let's throw Featherweight into it and have the light player get two heavy pieces, say Head and Feet, NOW the difference is down to 16%, We all know that light gets a 20% dmg increase over light, this means LIGHT is actually much 'stronger' than heavy with no real disadvantage. PLUS Light can dodge 3 x vs 2 x for heavy and the dodge is fair superior and 'best' of all, the Iframe is much longer for light than for heavy. Also, if you have any pieces with Leeching or Liftstealing you are going to be doing 20% more healing because of the extra damage you are getting.

depends what wpns & skills we use, some drain it too fast & need several mana pots for some combat, others dont even notice they use mana at all..

I hope they don't mess with the dodge. While making adjustments for pvp is fine and all. Removing or reducing the tiny and limited amount of dodge tanks have is going to make expeditions and other content a lot harder to deal with.

I'll be honest I haven't noticed too much change with the increased stamina use while tanking, I barely dodge when I tank in pve tho.

brother just raise up that tower shield, why use stamina to dodge when it costs less to block? and with the right perk you can heal from everything you block , and regain stamina when they hit you below x percentage of stamina

Combat in this game needs to be more complicated. There are somehow less options than Albion which is held back because it has to work on mobile.

As a healer, I hate the way I can be spamming my light attack and I can't dodge roll until the animation finishes. And if you click fast enough you have two attack animations before it stops attacking. I would like to see dodge role cancel an animation or ability.

Great vid! Change can be scary but I think it can only help this game, I’m new so it’s fresh but I see a loy of vets complaining about how stale the game is, console will help, but the vets need something new to sink their teeth into

what work what was transformative about this he added nothing new he reiterated old points and regurgitated what the just said honestly should be a 3-5 min vid its all fluff. All low effor "content" that he is just spweing out for veiws-add revenue- making empty bland content = a real job

So the tldr is they talked about the same things they always talked about threw out some maybes what ifs and well see to they can generate some type of traffic/interest in the game and then (no offense, I mean it) "content creators" talk about what they talked about and stretch it to 10 mins so they can generate traffic/interests in the channel so they can gain add revenue in the end no ones actually delivering we are all basically paying the milk man for air cause don't you like milk the guys on the grind we have to keep supporting nothing so they can get paid and one day ONE DAY finally deliver 5% of what they've been promising for years. don forget to keep buying cosmetics so we can get all these great feature like in season 4 don't be an entitled prick give them your time money and energy peasants

The only ones upset are the twitch streamers who can’t have 90 kills in OPR anymore. I’m all for combat changes as a tank. The flamethrower is also next on the roadmap to decrease the amount of range and damage. Looking forward to the changes

Tier 5 Energizing Hearty Meal gives plus 30% manna Regenerating, and it stacks on all other needed foods. I ALWAYS have it on and I still run out of manna when using two int weapons together especially void gauntlet. That food is a MUST USE.

I like how everyone is normalizing this "expansion" is the only way to get contents and its annoying. This new expansion has only been out for a few months, and their are talks about a new expansion already, the current one we have has BARELY anything. We have aa season pass, and now we get an expansion yearly... Like wtf?

I think most would say NW combat is its best part. The devs are so disconnected spending 2 years on console and combat rework. Just give us content and we would have had a good game by now. Sad

Medium was the best choice for a long time. People kept playing light for no reason. Light is only choice for bow and musket. Mage shouldn't play light because a medium mage gonna eat it alive. Heavy is too strong because of the dodge but as a mage you lose too much dmg. Medium and light are both perfectly balanced. Heavy should be tuned down a tiny a bit by decreasing the scaling of shirking fortification. That's it.

Dodge s are an interesting discussion. In PVP they feel way too generous. If you're running a lot of shirking perks (heal, energy, fortification, elemental, etc.), a lot of the time you're actually hoping that multiple players are targeting you so that you can get all the juicy bonuses to stay alive, do way more damage, be tankier, etc. It ends up being a simple "90% of times you dodge you're gonna get all those bonuses just by pressing the button with no timing or skill". This enforces the heavy loadout imbalance further because even if the enemy has a high amount of damage, most of that will get mitigated on dodge and the enemy will be squishy enough to die easily since they stacked damage instead of defense. Once they blow their damage abilities and find out all their damage got mitigated, they're toast. However, if it was reduced across the board, PVE would certainly feel the pain from all the players that rely on the long s when avoiding mechanics.

The only thing that stopped me from liking this game is exactly how you explained trying to catch up and hit somebody who is running away. I cant get down with the constant running away and chasing. They need to free up the movement just like they are saying, that would be a great update.

This is great and all but I hope they don’t expect this to be the carrot to keep us all playing… This would be a great addition tacked onto an expansion or major patch but there really isn’t anything here tbh. The fact that they’re touting this makes me think it’ll be a very long time before we get new content. This isn’t content, this is a revision of a clunky system.

The combat "homing" is even a joke in PvE. Go to Elysian Wilds with bleed rapier, find a Chameleon, apply 3 stacks and get as in its mouth as you can then use FnF. The Flourish knocks the chameleon back and your lunge forward for Finish never connects. It's a PoS

i hope a weapon like life staff comes out maybe a water staff? or something so there is more healer weapon options i like flail but i use it for a tank support build with sword and shield haha

For the mana problem they need to make the mana potion cooldown same as health potion CD. it’s the low cooldown now that makes it so you don’t really have to manage it at all

they ended up being too expensive to buy so i made a bunch of weak ones, you don't really even need higher than common mana pots, 10 sec CD means you'll barely use all the mana you just sipped before you can sip again

yeah i know but drinking too many pots in combat makes the combat crap & its very recent, it needs fixing properly.. Imo, they prob did something with mana to suit The Abyss so they need to re-adjust for others who dont use it. @@FunniesRS

You say fire staff will start reigning supreme without realizing that the elemental gem conversion fix also affects fire staffs that have been using an elemental conversion gem. They will now do 2.5% less damage (I know it's minor)

Unlikely to ever release, just a build environment for that lotr game (in development) that uses the same engine. Probably the only reason servers are still up and devs still on payroll.
