I still object to the 7 seeded playoff system. But seeing this in practice... moving to 17/7 was cursed the moment it was announced (and I still curse the members of the PA that allowed that to happen), and it's come to a nasty head this recent month.

I think people always assume a team ripping off another team through a trade will turn out like the Hershel Walker trade, except everyone forgets that the Cowboys actually made good picks in addition to the trade, which is the main reason why they were so successful.

I think Super Bowl XXIV is a lot worse since the Broncos lost 55-10 to the 49ers. And the seacocks also threw the ball at the 1 yard line in Superbowl XLIX.

Branden, the seahawks rushed 8 on that last play. The bears sent 3 into routes, so they couldn’t have blocked it if they wanted to. Now if the back protected a little better caleb might’ve had more time for that throw, but seattle was getting a free rusher either way.

Yeah 17 punts for 830 yards in that game. In week 8 last year the Jets beat the Giants 13-10 in OT with both teams combining for 24 punts for 1078 yards. The record was set in 1998 when the Raiders/Chargers combined for 27 punts for 1238 yards. The Raiders won 7-6. The Raiders punted 15 straight drives at one point, with 14 being 3-n-outs, and it was a nice sunny day in Oakland.

Unpopular opinion: the Bears should've kept Fields instead. Yes, he wasn't perfect, but it felt like he was finally settling in and I even remember some fans chanting, "Keep Fields!". All they had to do was just build an o-line, ditch the loser coach and OC, and find some quality weapons with those early picks. Instead, they blew it up AGAIN and are most likely not going to learn anything. The Bears are too impatient and won't see what works and build around it.
@MFBloosh16 сағат бұрын
I'm one of the people who wanted to keep Fields and I gotta say, after watching this season, he wouldn't have done better than what Caleb is doing. Our season ended before it even started, the day we decided to keep Flus last offseason. But before the season, I absolutely HATED the Caleb talk, to the point where I wouldn't even watch his college highlights, and seeing Fields go for such a low price hurt me in ways I've never been hurt as a Bears fan, and that's saying something. But, Caleb (like Fields) has been one of the only people on the team who has done ANYTHING this season. When it comes to the Bears, the QB gets all the blame, and that's the way it's been forever. Another team's QB gets sacked 60 times, people blame the O Line or coaches, or whatever they want to blame. But when it's the Bears QB getting sacked 60 times, it's all on him. That's the way it was with Cutler. That's the way it was with Mitch. That's the way it was with Fields. And now that's the way it is with Caleb. We've needed O Line help (as you mention in your comment) for over 8 years at this point and still haven't gotten it right. And to be fair to people who think that way, it's not like they're sitting there watching every single Bears game like Bears fans do. People in our fanbase are smart football people, and we see AND call out the problems, yet ownership and management never listen to the fanbase. Sorry for the rant, but this shit is just so annoying at this point lol.
