Yes the muted colors are intentional, their are meant to be like that, this will fit better with the settings and thematics of the story. I hope Kuro will stick to their guns instead of catering to people that this game is not meant to. I personally prefer colors that are more muted like Tecy said makes it easier to see the cool shiet characters do.

And this would impact the whole story progression that are meant to be dark and still in war stated situations. It's like dark souls / elden ring having happy and vibrant theme. Kuro games out doing themselves once again PGR was insanely fun and has 2 or 3 issues but it was still great while being EXTREMELY F2P friendly (For people wondering rates are 80% chance with 60 pity for character 30 for weapon) (And some have 100% rate) Hopefully this game gets all the good things pgr had and expands upon it

Ya as far as gachas that I've played go (about 5, some Tales games, Genshin and Honkai, and PGR more or less are the only ones) it was definitely the kindest as far as pity goes...granted the prices for buying summons with real cash are about the same for all 3 games with it being about $25 to $30 for 10 pulls in each game, which imo is far too much for a chance at a digital good...imo a gacha should be 10 pulls per $1, especially when their odds of getting the product are so low and you need multiple copies of said product/character/weapons). With that said...not sure if I'd say it's that f2p as while the pull aspect is kinder it is a game that requires far more grind/time investment than Genshin/Honkai in order to have the stats to handle a good chunk of the game's content (especially for limited time event modes which are all harder than Genshin's and at best Honkai's hardest content may hit PGR's medium difficulty content) so for players that don't want to play daily/take it easy I cannot say PGR is a good game to really get into as the only other way to catch up with content as at a relatively decent pace if you started now would probably be to shove out quite a bit of cash.

Kuro is going for the Nier aesthetic and sort of gameplay. You can see it here and in PGR the same. That is why colors are muted. Its an art style. The problem is that if you are comparing to what is meant to be compared to, its not going to be same. However, I expect combat to be a mix of genshin simplicity in terms of button presses just to make it more controller and PC friendly with PG auto attack and parry system. I hope the parries are fully realized and not specialized to characters.

When so you get the notification for closed beta acceptance? I applied back during the first few days of April. So Teccy got accepted and I am still waiting to hear back if I did or not. I am very excited about the game. If anything, the gacha should be relatively tolerable since PGR's gacha is super friendly, 60 pity with better rates, and the artifacts of this game is pretty genius. It's basically pokemon/monster hunter and hunting down all the DTs. Bosses themselves become the artifacts when defeated. Kurogames is cooking something and I like it.

I'm not playing this until it comes to Console. I don't mind playing PGR on my phone, cause it actually functions really well on a phone with the ping system, but I don't want to play multiple gachas on my phone, and I also don't have a PC. So I'm just really hoping Wuthering Waves comes to console relatively soon after it releases on mobile and PC. Hopefully the PC client for PGR releases around that time too so Teccy can finally experience how fun PGR is by then.

As far as your graphics concern...ya it's definitely quite muted but it's not that different from what I remember of playing PGR tbh...will say that it may be more so that the graphics/assets also look more like they're unfinished, not surprising as this is still a trailer for the closed beta, since I noticed some of the buildings I've seen in this trailer have the same look as Genshin when you first load in for the day before all assets (buildings' details, npcs, etc) finish loading so that definitely needs a bit of work before the official release. On another note the white haired guy in red with the scar on his face that throws what looks to be a playing card gives me some real Joke (from Batman) vibes...which means if he's like the joke he'll likely be a fun character story wise.

0:33 I feel you man, been waiting for the PGR PC port but got bored so I just downloaded an emulator. 😂 Works fine enough. Also, I prefer the not overly-saturated look of the game. It feels very Death Stranding or Nier which makes a lot of sense in a post-apocalyptic world. I mean, imagine if they opted to have the same art-style (WW is like a weird mix of cel shaded assets and a bit of realism based on what I saw, not an artist though so don't know the jargons) and colors of Genshin, it wouldn't be convincing. Not to mention the overly-saturated color approach is, no pun intended, getting saturated in the gacha gaming industry (e.g. ToF, Higan, Star Rail, etc.)

Hero Games i believe is Japanese with investments in Kuro Games. There's guys started from the bottom with one or two games before they made PGR. PGR is what barely put them on the map and then they took flight in august 2022 with the release of Bianca Abystigma (aka Balter aka Saber alter from fate series because she looks like, has an ult like, and even the same JP VA as her)

Casuals will not like this games combat. You actually need skill. If you've ever played PGR, you will understand. If you aren't good at timing your dodges and attacks, you'll hate it. Also, there are cooldowns on skills. Boss fights are no joke. Very fast-paced with multiple attacks followed by more attacks that you'll have to learn to dodge.

I'd just use Nvidia Freestyle to add more color vibrancy to it. It should work in most games (not sure why some don't) and all you need to do is hold the left ALT button and press F3. F2 is also Nvidia's screenshot feature (sometimes click that one by accident). I will warn you though that Freestyle has caused games to crash on me though; at least while tinkering with it. Oddly it doesn't seem to crash while running the game but it does when playing with the sliders. Also Freestyle will forget your preset when you update your graphics drivers make sure to record what it was so that you can put it back to the same settings.

All three of those are very different games, so it just comes to personal preference. Would you prefer action open world? Wuthering Waves. Rogue hack n' slash? PGR. Turn-based? HSR. PGR is already an established game that only becomes better every update so it's still worth to check it out if it's for you

The thing that separates PGR and WW the most is how their story is conveyed. I personally had a hard time focusing on PGR's stories as its visual novel type story telling felt repetitive and uninteresting. Whereas WW's might be a whole lot more immersive as it could have voiced dialogues and better visuals.

Success of this depends on lots of things but one of the most important one is: Genshin works on even on those devices perfectly which are not so high end, Tower of Fantasy stuttered a lot in my PC, and even in mobile Genshin works on Mid range phones quite well, if this works as smoothly as genshin does on my PC i would be happy.
