I have been waiting for the XCS 2.0 to be released! I don’t want to download until it’s out of Beta. I just started using my laser and I haven’t done much editing/designing yet so I didn’t want to be a tester for the Beta version but I’m very excited for the final version to be released!!

Thanks for the awesome video and actually showing off the new features and not just telling us about them. I'm a visual learner and that was so cool! I'm with kim, I LOVE that they finally put in the timer. And I love the preview is looking more and more like lightburn. I would like to see them make it easier to process photos tho making DPI, gamma, contrast, brightness, etc available in creative space like lightburn does. Great video guys!!🎉🎉❤❤

My favourite feature would be layers! The layers options we had before where just not good... but at least we had them, I used this Creative Space for the first time when it didn't even have any layers options!

You can also now copy something from one project and paste to another. It is a bit glitchy. Some times it will only allow the last paste item. But, great things happening in XCS. Thanks guys.

Lots of great things coming out of xTool software development. Some of this stuff was available in previous builds of XCS. I've only been using it since the S1 was available, but I've done the QR codes, AI generation, cloud storage, and multiple canvases in builds before 2.0 Beta came out. I'm still running whatever the latest version of build 1 is on my laptop, but the wife is running 2.0 on her laptop. I've also noticed on the process screen it shows in the bottom left corner it gives me a time estimate on my 1.#, so I'm assuming there was a hidden update that added that, because I know it wasn't there a couple weeks ago. But I am glad xTool is dedicated to making their software more of a "Only One Application Needed" type software. Don't get me wrong, Canva and Adobe is helpful for for creation, but its nice to have it all in one package and not having to use numerous apps to make one project.

The estimated time was on the processing screen Screen over a year ago when we bought our D1. You just had to scroll down to see it. I learned right away that it wasn't even close to accurate. It might read 20 minutes and take almost an hour. Is it accurate now? Because that would be nice. Also, will the phone camera work with the D1 as well, or just the S1?

I haven’t downloaded 2.0 yet, but I hope they have improved the grouping and ungrouping features. It’s a real pain when you have several different elements grouped together and you hit ungroup to make an adjustment to one element, but XCS ungroups everything. It never fails that I will accidentally move something out of place and not realize it until I’ve done other things. That has been the main reason I still do most of my designs in Silhouette Studio Business Edition and then open the design in XCS once I have everything ready for the laser.

I guess this update is only for certain lasers because my xtool creative space says it has the latest software for my m1 which is the v1.7.8, or has it not actually dropped yet?

I have been holding off updating to the 2.0 because I keep reading of problems with it WiFi connecting and locating options that we used to have. It does resemble Cricut DS software.

I think 2.0 is easier to use. I don't need to hunt through the menus. I haven't had a WiFi issues, yet.

Just double-click on the word in the layer menu and enter the name you want.
