NEW YAMAHA EF2200IS INVERTER GENERATOR PT.2 - SURGING FIXED !

NEW YAMAHA GENERATOR WAS SURGING AND UNCONTROLLED IDLE ON ECO MODE FIX -
AFTER WASTING MY TIME AND TAPPING INTO A BRAND NEW GENERATOR, I DISCOVERED THAT THE STEPPER MOTOR WAS NOT ABLE TO LOCATE A SMOOTH IDLE AS THERE WAS NO POSITIVE STOPPING POINT AT THE IDLE SCREW..... 1 AND A HALF TURNS IN AND MY TROUBLE HAS BEEN RESOLVED. HOPEFULLY THIS CAN WORK FOR OTHERS HAVING TROUBLE.

I had a honda before for 12 years, no problems. Now I have a generac 3200 inverter generator, Perfect.

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou !! One year on from you fantastic video you would have thought Yamaha would have fixed this issue but no joy I purchased a brand new generator yesterday 29/2/24 and it had the same issue. With your help it is now running fine cheers from Australia 🇦🇺

Heh! Thank you. Same exact problem - Brand new Yamaha ES2200is surging at idle on eco-throttle. Very annoying. I was going to bring it back - instead I was able to correct this issue without bringing average idle RPM up very much. Factory had never properly set the engine's minimum idle adjustment screw and stepper motor throttle controller seems programmed to just "let go" of the throttle in eco mode when at no load - then had to periodically blip the throttle upward to maintain minimum RPM. Thanks again!

Thanks for watching. Yes, very annoying, but I still have to pull start 15 times for initial start up no matter what I do. When warm, still have to choke the engine. Piss poor carburetor hands down. They need to recall this carb.

I’m disappointed in this generator. I expected far more reliability from Yamaha, and obviously they’ve turned their heads to the most obvious issues with these. 1200:dollars for this ? Bullshit
