I played 2023 Yamaha Montage M8x and I must say the sounds coming out of that machine is great! Check out the Guitar sound and let me know what you think in the comment section.

That is a gorgeous instrument. My only problem, is that for me, I don't like weighted keys. I'm not a piano player and was never trained on a piano. It's always been organ and keyboards without weighted keys. At one time, I did have a Yamaha Digital Piano that had "semi-weighted keys." That was no problem because they didn't have any action like a piano and the "weight" was hardly noticeable. It's too bad that Yamaha and others wouldn't design a key bed where the play can select weighted, semi-weighted or non-weighted feel. I know that Yamaha is using actual weights, which makes the entire unit heavy, but if they could design some sort of kind of "weighting" that is actually magnetic or other way, that wouldn't add actual weight, it would be cool. I suspect that sales would improve too. Just thoughts.

Thanks for the brilliant reply. I am not a pianist too. I learnt from non weighted and semi weighted keyboards. However, if you go for the 76 keys and 63 keys option ( M7 and M6) they have non weighted keys, yet with the full (or 90%) functionality of the M8x. Hope that helps. That’s not how you play guitar I’m afraid. Far too many complex chords with more than six notes per cord which is unrealistic of course. I spend a lot of time practising how I would play the keyboard to sound like a guitar. It’s much more than just the sound that the keyboard makes
