That one is the Ray ZR Hybrid, the common one doesnt have the Power Assist and is sold in Latin America and India. For Europe market there is a higher standard. Greets from Uruguay.

The india version of power assist and hybrid was launched in 2022 well before in Europe. The scooter is made in India and exported to Europe.

I ride a Street Rally version (not for you😊) here in Seychelles and it's brilliant on our small roads and especially around town. Using it every day. Made in India, good build quality. For Europe it might be just for around town. Indicated top speed some 60mph which is 56 on the gps

My wife's Honda 110 Scoopy puts out a smidge over 6 hp, the Yamaha 125 Zuma puts out 8 hp and Honda 125 Wave puts out 9

With the electric motor boost it should make up for the lower hp. It's aimed as a city commuter should handle that and A roads with no issues.

@@mikehorton8603 No, the "boost" is just for initial pick up. All scooters are quick at that. What matters more is a reasonable top speed and Yamaha are very shy telling us what that is. With 8 hp I doubt it will be capable of much more than 50-55 mph.

Ugh, 8hp and a rear drum at mid-£3k price? That's uncompetitive enough to be basically DOA. The Piaggio Medley 125 has a 14.7hp motor and dual discs and is going for £3300 peresently.

I posted that comment two weeks ago when the price hadn't been confirmed. £2300 is a much more suitable price, although I still wouldn't even consider buying one as that 8hp engine is just too weak.
