Just got the esp32 controller going and was able to reprogram all the modules with the latest code. Thanks so much for all the features you're working on and have finished. Going to be trying a Victron setup soon.

Morning Stuart, from Australia. I need to get on to the guy making the Lipo4 set up. Sorry for your loss mate. I use a slideshow optics and the camera on my phone to copy old photos. Now you could do it that way and link them together in a movie program mate. Bit slow, but a start.

Sorry to have discovered your work so late. Sorry to hear about the passing of your loved one. I am from New York in the US. I am intrigued by your hard work. I would like to volunteer my experience restoring my old 8mm films that began before the time of Compact Discs. At the time I worked on that, software compression did not exist. If you take on the task yourself, the hardest part will be transferring from the film to some digital or analog media. I found using a white foam board to project the image on it and then have the video camera side by side with the projector, showed superior results. One issue was matching the correct frame rate of the projector with the video camera. I just used trial and error for a short video until I found a sweet spot. I completed the task with the settings that worked best for me. Also cleaning the film with the proper fluid and repairing sprocket holes and breaks in the film prior to starting this process was important. I think the media you want to store the end product on would be a thumb drive. Adding Music is heart warming. Digital Media also has a life span. Definitely make many copies. I remember hunting down a film viewer/editor, even at the time it was hard to find, to refurbish the film that I had.

Thank you Stuart for solving the issue with my 112 cell battery bank! It is now running flawlessly down here in New Zealand. Also it is communicating with the Victron GX inverters over Modbus. Next I will look at adding your current monitor. Enjoy your film restoration. It is always refreshing to take a break from things. Happy 2022! BTW if anyone happens to have an extra current monitor board please reach out to me. I have extra controller boards as well. I ordered boards and parts for 5 controllers but only need 2 for myself, one production and one spare. Can buy/sell or work out a deal such as a swap.

I recall early experimental film scanners that would advance the film frame by frame, fully illuminate it and capture the image with a CCD sensor. Not sure that they were ever manufactured. I recall that one of the main difficulties was getting an even illumination on all parts of the frame. The spectrum of the light source will also alter the colour but that could be corrected with colour profiling. Looking forward to seeing how you approach it.

Hey Stuart!! Happy New Year. As always, keep up the great work. The DIYBMS project has grown soooo much since I started playing with it back during version 2. I can't wait to see where you take it. Keep up the great work!
