Nice return. Tbh I’m surprised at alot of the 10s you got since a few of them hard pretty noticeable centering issues. But that PSA for you! Good video tho!!

Thanks!! I think PSA is very generous with their ratios, to me its also why people use PSA so much and has such a big market share of the grading market.

yeah you are both right about that! for my own PC i like mine pretty well centered, but to resell, it often doesn't matter too much to me

Great vid! Just had a few questions for you since you seem to submit a lot to PSA! 1. Do you usually buy a raw copy and send them out for grading for a profit? or are these your PC that you've pulled personally? 2. I am planning on submitting 60 cards to PSA soon. One of my concerns is that if I send all 60 cards at once, the grader might rush through them or be stricter due to the volume, especially if they find the upcharge process inconvenient. To avoid potentially landing with a stricter grader, I'm also considering splitting the submission into two batches of 30 cards. Have you had experience submitting a large bulk like this before? How were their grades? 3. About half of these 60 cards would be worth over $200 each if graded as PSA 10, while the other half are worth less than $200. I'm debating whether to send them all together under the bulk grading tier regardless of their value, or to separate them by value and send them under different grading tiers. Considering that I want these to be sequential, should I just send them out with the lowest bulk tier and have PSA upcharge me later on? 4. Lastly, when submitting for grading, do you all put their estimated value to $200 to qualify for the bulk tier? Thank you and I would greatly appreciate your reply! :)

1. I don't pull packs, hit rates are usually not that good. Opening packs if for if you wanna enjoy it either on your own or by yourself, or you like opening for content. I like to browse around at card shows for potential buys. I won't haggle as well if the card is in good shape and in PSA 10 range. 2. Thats a somewhat conspiracy theory sometimes, which I do believe in. Sometimes you might get a harsh grader, sometimes not. What I would do, personally, is split them up in to 30/30. It helps with shipping too, sometimes packages go missing and stuff, so better to have half half. My next video will be a 100 card return, you'll see haha. 3. I like bulk tier (S14.99) a bit more, I've noticed that typically the Grading specials ($13.99) have a ton of people try to submit all during that 15 day or month long time frame, and you actually get your cards back slower. Since time is money sometimes in the vendor/reseller world, I opt for this option a bit more. I think in bulk tier they are less likely to upcharge you as well, whereas the holiday/special rates, then tend to upcharge a bit more often. 4. Nope, I still put cards that are potentially PSA 10 and over $200 into bulk tier, hoping they won't upcharge. Even if they do upcharge sometimes, as long as the value isnt over 1k, it won't be more than $18.99 per card. Hope that explains!

@collectorsphere Oh wow! I greatly appreciate your detailed reply! On question #4, will PSA allow you to put your $200+ cards into the bulk tier even when you enter in the estimated value to over $200? When I tried submitting my cards last time, PSA didnt allow me into the bulk tier if I tried putting in over $200 into the estimated value section. If there’s a way to get around this, please let me know! :) And 100 cards?! Have you split these into two or three submissions as well? I cant wait for your next vid! XD

@@RK_IT-zg2hn yes they do. I remember even when I sent in my Van Gogh pikachus I had it in bulk at like 200 declared value. Even tho I got psa 10s ($400) at the time I didn’t get upcharged

@@RK_IT-zg2hn for the 100 card submission. It was literally all master ball holos. So I kept it together. I’m getting that return back today so hopefully I can make a video.

@@collectorsphere Thank you!! This was what I wanted to know! So, even the card’s actual value is over $200, you still put in $200 as a declared value so that you can submit it under the bulk tier, correct? And I can’t wait for your 100 cards video man! Would love to see the results of those soon!!

I haven't gotten my latest return yet but I hear the slabs are 20% heavier, say psa on the bottom middle and they have those markings you're pointing out on then. I think it's a measurement thing, not 100% sure. Can't wait to get them in my hands and check em out.

You're probably right, but for some reason, I think I have already gotten those heavier slabs and they are a bit different. When I went to japan during my trip, I bought a good amount of japanese slabs, which I think are already in that heavier shape. Sort of like a beta test in other countries not in USA. I definitely could be wrong though. Those new slabs do feel really really heavy duty and better than the ones we get in the USA. Seems harder to crack out of cases for resubmissions too!

Quality is awesome! Are you finding your rock cards online? Or at card shows?
@collectorsphere2 күн бұрын
What do you mean by rock cards? The chase cards that I grade? Usually I get them from card shows since I can inspect with my naked eye (sometimes i flash my phone too). I used to "gamble" by buying out copies on TCGplayer, but most often I'd get some bad copies or copies labeled as NM but has noticeable issues.

gambling with PSA worked this time, keep rolling those dice and never know why it got the grade it did lol. smh
@collectorsphereКүн бұрын
Thats my love hate relationship with PSA haha. As a vendor tho, most people don't care as long as the grade is a 10, though I still like buying (for my PC) PSA 10 cards for the cards and not the grade.
