6:35 that brown paper rock face looks the part. It has a nice randomness and would even be more flexible for adjustment than plaster. It’s certainly something I want to try.

Thanks Chris. It's almost there. The next step would be to see what happens when I paint it a rock colour. Would the paper soften to mush? Would it be better to spray paint it? As any spray painting would have to be done outside where it currently feels like -2F, that wouldn't get done for quite a few weeks.

And a very happy New Year to you Ian! Thanks for taking the time to produce the Dispatch ezine, it's wonderful having a voice for our corner of modelling interest. One day I'll contribute, I promise...

Will, from the USA here. just found this video on my nightly internet crawl. That is a very interesting micro you are working on. You seem to work on layouts like I do. Work a while, let it sit and see what ideas work and then make any changes if needed. I perked up a bit with your mention of another Christmas Challenge this year. Remember Tunnel Vision? That was mine.

Hi Will; Yes indeed, I do remember Tunnel Vision. The details for this years challenge will be released in March.

The brown paper looks good. Perhaps it just needs some vinegar? I'll coach you on the pronunciation of "Dduallt" in October.
