I always use drums to fill use a funnel with a civet attached to it.

Yes, good idea. I use a funnel with a filter, but I don't think it's fine enough for this dirt though.

We had the same problem years ago a neighbour gave us some diesel in cans we put it in our telehandler then it wouldn't rev turned out the diesel had water in it upshot we had to have a new injector pump at a cost of £1500 very expensive lesson
