Great video Sandy, it's not nice to see people struggle but it's real and the side of the job no body get's to see credit to you for showing it. I don't think I remember it as bad as this if you are supplying haulage to the construction sector, money is very tight no body want's to pay and a lot of people working for nothing it will be a long tough 12 months I think but as you said think positive and I hope it works out for you.

Morning Sandy, thanks for a good video to kick off 2025. Don't let the challenges get you down and stick to your guns. It is frustrating when people don't pay a fair price for a fair job. Been there with the LGP tracks skidding about when I worked with my dad who has a lot of that kit. We had round bar welded on the edge of the ramps and beaver to help control the slide and it did. Might be something to consider? All the best for 2025!

I know what you are going through. I worked for my self, Stone walling for nearly 50 years. I had a lot of bad payers in my time and some that didn't pay at all. I dernt tell you how much money I was owed by the time I retired. It would have shocked you.

What chance do you have when other 'truckers' price jobs so low (so they can get views on there channel) that they are hardly making any money on the actual job. All that does is makes you look greedy when all you are doing is trying to earn a living. I feel it for the likes of you and Shaun Thomson who do it for a living and actually like the job, and are not afraid to work hard. The baxenden job would be great for getting you a load down south and doing a collab with the boys but not sure if it will make you rich when John has to pay you for it.🤔 I actually liked the ending of the video as it shows the real struggles of owning a transport company,when everybody wants a piece of your hide it feels. Hi sandy I am just back after 10 days off was up at loch duart getting my scania 770s v8 picking up full load of fresh salmon headed for south of france . It was absolutely chucking it down with snow . There was a young guy about early 30s and he was asking what way I was headed back and I said I was heading for lairg then over to tain then south on A9 . He said oh you going to struggle over to lairg as there was 6inches snow at Loch duart . He was looking at his phone map to see best way where least snow was . I then fitted my snow chains to my scania 770s and put the full set on all 3 axel, s and also put my second the trailer . Well he was leaving before me and was sliding all over the place in his daf . About 30 minutes later I passed him sitting going no where hazards on stuck in thick snow but my chains got me to tain never got stuck was then able to take the chains off as roads on A9 were no bad . I use the chains as I go all over Europe and mandatory in most European countries. Aye it ne good when you do work but don't get paid on time have had it happen still pisses me of ,

Keep going never give in they will pay at some point keep at them it took me 5 years to get paid out from a insurance broker who owned me money I know its not the same as a business but the Principal of it I didn't let them get away with it.

Been there so i know how you feel. I sold up as it was just 2 steps forward and 3 steps back all the time. The pressure is immense. The Bills don't stop coming in, they want paying immediately whilst customer sit on your money for 3 months +! One thing you dont have is more trucks and that means drivers and this adds to the headache! Its an extremely tough industry to be in. As you have more presence on KZbin you should focus i think more on this and less on the haulage side. You will make more money! You could focus still on HH but do the videos , twice a week! The other guy, TT , has done that and money appears to be no object judging by the kit and everything else he has bought , not to mention the restorations! That or do Only Fans with that other lady ! :)

Get this into your head! If you rock up to asda or tescos for your grocieries, do they give you a months credit? No they dont, so why are you doing it for a new customer, that wont pay. Bank transfer on delivery before you even crack a chain off. You are at a stage if you are sub contracting you are busy enough to pick and choose your work. Its the same across the board and this government is fecking the small business owner over. Things will only get worse, so put credit control steps in place asap

Brian, I appreciate your advice but it is not always as straightforward as that, new customers, that do not have any credit background in my discretion. I do charge upfront if I do not know them we carry card machines and everything. In the circumstances, this is a well established company that i believe we can trust. If it was that easy with payment terms everyone would do it but because you are fighting with other people strategies and doing jobs definitely you’ve got a strategise all the time and sometimes you get it wrong.

chin up sandy stress not easy ,,,, haulage is a tough place,,, time,,traffic,, but not getting paid is the pits especailly after doing a good job ,oh and probably you pulled them out of a bad spot ,,pricing can be difficult re the 500 job probably a man just beeing in the wrong place need backload to get closer to next job ,,,im sure you know the haulier ,,money is tight and nobody want to do unpaid miles ,,, on the subject of lights wiring etc ,, good cable is hard to get ,but some of the sh1t sold now is poor quality not real copper ,,, anyway the very best of luck for the 2025 season, and hopefully your next vid all will be stress free
