New Year's 2023: US countdown celebrations feature fireworks, return of traditions

An array of quirky State traditions and impressive fireworks returned with a bang this year across the US, ringing in the New Year with colourful displays and joyful celebrations.
The annual New Year's Eve Peach Drop, a Georgia tradition, returned to Atlanta after the last three-year editions were cancelled due to COVID restrictions.
Meanwhile, as the clock struck midnight to ring in 2023, Seattle held a fireworks show at the Space Needle, with the addition of drones.

You are a party pooper. I agree with you on the homeless. Someone should solve the homeless problem. No one should be homeless. That should be a top priority for every government. Everyone should help the homeless all year round but especially at Christmas and New year's. But after the years people have had they deserve to enjoy themselves. It is also a time for people to be together and show unity as humanity. It should be a time to look after everyone including the homeless.

For sure. Throughout history every 20-25 years the world experiences a new growth, because it's a new generation...and every 80-100 years there's global calamity because of power vacuums, and because the entire world is experiencing a shift in their era because of a never ending arms race. It doesn't have to all be weapons, it can simply be efficient or completely new tech that changes the standard of living...but any strong government is always decades, if not, centuries ahead of the rest of the world, and each country keeps their research secret....because each wants to secure THEIR future. To do that they need to keep their own people, and other countries in the dark, so they can prepare to counter any possible counter, exploits, and vulnerabilities. We're still cavemen not able to accept the bigger picture because our "leaders" live in fear. Real power is behind the power. "Leaders" are just patsy performers that are decieved/blackmailed/bribed into serving the true powers agendas. Money has no loyalty to anyone but itself...it always profits regardless of which side wins or losses. Divide and conquer, order through chaos.
