Great video. I have gotten to where I would rather shoot does than bucks. Of course I always get excited when I see a buck, but after years and years of hunting, I usually leave the nice buck for the guys who are looking for antlers. I just like does.

Yeah, I hear ya. We pay a lot of money for licenses and tags so might as well fill the tags especially if people want to meet and we are helping them out. I really enjoy donating a deer or two every year to people that are in need

We were in 4F all week. It was pretty rough. Didnt see much, super wet, a couple shots didnt ignite, one which would have been my wife's first deer unfortunately.

Its a 10 year old CVA in line, decent rifle. Its rained on us for 4 days nonstop. The powder didnt get wet enough to be ruined, it fired with the next primer, but it got wet enough to make a big doe's very very lucky day lol.

I use Traditions / Hornady XTP Hunter 50 cal 240grain. Bullet size is actually more of a .45. With two powder pellets. They seem to fire well out of this traditions muzzleloader have it sighted in at 50 and 100 so I know where it shoots. It definitely knocks them down. 😀 Happy new year!!!

Just wanted to fill one more and also just trying to get more content for the channel. We have people that want the deer and ask us every year so happy to donate to them. Yes we do… we process our own and have five in the freezer from this year. including all the scraps that we trim then grind up for our dogs. And then freeze that to supplement their dry food throughout the year also. 😀 Happy New Year!

Not sure why so many guys are blaming you of greed. We have an over abundance of deer in WNY that damage vegatation and can spread disease. Also i saw a ton of road kill this year, more than normal. Scientist study deer populations and know what areas need to be managed. But what do scientists know? 🙄

There are alot a doe in my area also if the state didn't want us to shoot them they wouldn't issue doe tags my area I can get 4 doe tags from state and the area I hunt will give you up to 4 more doe tags .the area is federal land they give you 1 tag at a time when you fill it they give you another 1 like I said they give you up to 4 .so all in total u can shoot 8 doe it's heavily populated like the area he is hunting I had 3 big doe walk out 2nd day a season I layer them out and I also gave some away to ppl that can't get out and hunt
