Those Michael Moorcock books do have a way of wandering off. Things of chaos and sorcery will do such things I suppose.

Now that I'm thinking about it, A Wrinkle in Time may have been what started my love for science fiction! I loved that book. Just the mention of it brings back memories of long summer reading sessions, on our (probably not up to code) back porch, in our old hammock. Ah, the glories of childhood!

That's a great surprise! I read "Bored of the Rings" years ago as a young teenager probably. It was bawdy and raunchy and mede me feel rebellious. 👿 I love Terry Pratchett and have read many of his including "The Color of Money." That one is an early writing and not nearly as good as his later works, but still definitely worth reading. Happy New Year and Happy Reading!

Being a Terry pratchett fan having nearly all his book. The colour of magic is the first and the light fantastic being the only direct sequel to it, all his books are basically stand alone after. The only series in the disc world books are by topic Like the city guard, witches, rincewind, series that follows death and the odd stand alone books as well. Very British humour.

I believe Pirate Latitudes was published posthumously, and they literally found the manuscript in Crichton's sock drawer after his passing. It's a ripping yarn, and if not for Disney, would make an amazing movie. I think their Pirates franchise has spoiled pirates in the cinema for a while longer. Happy New Year!

Cornella Funke is a very good writer, even when she's writing in English (a very good novelization of Pan's Labyrinth) - I really want to read her translated Inkheart series, but I want to get better read in the classics she's bound to bring to life (you should be covered there).

Elliot was the Roosevelt's son and he wrote a number of mysteries about the White House, as did Truman's daughter, Margaret Truman Daniels. Greetings from 2025 (it's been the new year for about an hour here). You've not read any of the Discworld stuff? I know you've got ten thousand other things you need to read, but this is something you do need to rectify. Though you will also want to get The Light Fantastic, the second book, cos Colour of Magic kind of flows right into it.

"You get a package in the mail, you have to open it on camera" I knew there was a reason I didn't do videos. No one needs to see that. 💉💊☣:) I got three physical books in the last month though; that's some kind of record for me since I went digital.
