Great idea. I think that would help a person just focus on one particular theme, one card at a time, in the moment. Instead of looking at the whole year which can feel overwhelming sometimes. I don’t read for the whole year for that reason. But pulling the card and not looking at it until the right time might be very interesting!

@@TarotandWitchery I think this is a very intriguing idea! It’s exciting in that pulling a card ahead of time, not looking at it, and it potentially being exactly what’s going on in the future. That would totally blow my mind! I don’t love pulling for the future in that it can be a self fulfilling prophecy but not looking at it and it being the right message at the right moment? That’s an exciting experiment! I absolutely have to try it!

Hi April! I like the idea of this. I might do it at the beginning of Kwanzaa with two oracle cards. One that reflects what to take from the 2023 into 2024 and the other for the theme of 2024. It'll be interesting to see how the two cards vibe with each other. I also like the idea of tucking away the cards for the year except I would just pull enough cards up until the month of my solar return. That's the actual reset of my personal year. You've given me a lot to work with. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Im a little late to the party, lol, but Im here and ready! Sounds like fun! My areas are Spiritual/Study, Health & Wellness and Home & Time. My questions will be Release, Intentions and How to Start. I'll start Saturday for the 10 days and then stay with it until my birthday in April. Hi April! Love, love, love this spread! You are so incredibly creative and I really appreciate you! I too love advent calendars (also not Catholic) and this is a fun way to stay motivated, especially after the Christmas holiday slump. Quick question - how are you envisioning splitting which cards you draw in the envelope? For example, your first one was release for hearth & home and you used a tarot. Would the next one also be tarot or would you switch it up to an oracle? I know your intention was to make this open ended and customizable, but I was just curious about your initial set up in mind. As I’m writing this question out, I suppose the card would largely depend on the question or theme. Anyways, still curious on your thoughts! Happy Holidays! ✨

Originally I envisioned each envelope will only holding 1 card for each question. i had10 questions and 10 PLUS a super power card in another envelope. i'm sitting down to do this this weekend and have decided to do it a little differently. you can put as many cards in the envelopes as you like. I was suggesting One question in one area of my life for each envelope. Again, you can do whatever suits you. I'm going to do one for each new moon of the year I think... And a few more to do from Solstice to new year...I think...LOL
