I worked overnight at Broadway between 47th and 48th when this filmed in 1998-99. I would have been at home, no work for third shift. The firm always closed down and sent people home around 7p. For some reason they made second shift come in briefly and sent them home in cabs. This was before 9/11 of course. A lot changed after that. Good old days. Thanks for posting this. 9/22/23

I was there... sorta. The crowd was huge that year so we couldn't quite get into Times Square itself. I think we ended up watching the reflection of the ball in the windows of the buildings on Broadway as it dropped in the last few seconds. Boy, was it freezing! But we still had a great time.
