Pro tip: look into NYE event tickets around October. I don’t know what events you were looking at but there are plenty in Soho and other cool areas that start around $150 and go up if you want a VIP experience. The soho grand masquerade ball was $250 this year. I went to an event that was $200/ticket but there was a DJ, big dance floor, all you can drink from 8pm - 1:30 am, and small bites. Honestly $200 was worth it.

Love your videos Lauren! As far as taking down the Christmas stuff: The tradition is that the 12 days of Christmas doesn't end until January 5th. So technically the Christmas season isn't over until January! I'm always sad when everyone takes down Christmas decorations before New Year's!

I went to Times Square for NYE with my husband & friends a few years ago. It’s an experience but I wouldn’t do it again. Not worth it. Getting in was horrible! We felt like we were going to get trampled because of the way people were acting. And being barricaded in a corral with hundreds of people for 12 hours was horrible. I was so sick the next day. The only good thing about it was we made friends with people from different countries & played games & shared pizza.
