Driving from Queens to The Bronx is always challenging. Queens is an outstanding borough with all sorts of different restaurants and shops; in contrast, The Bronx is well-known for its diversity in both people and culture. Driving from Queens to The Bronx is especially enjoyable on a Sunday afternoon. Before you know it, your car is among other cars traveling via the Bruckner Expressway.
If you choose Whitestone bridge as your means of crossing over the East River, it will only take you 3 minutes to get there. Hell, I'm really not exaggerating! Those 3 minutes can take you to a place where small and big dreams come true. That place is The Bronx!
But wait! There are ways that you can enjoy this short yet awesome ride even more! You can pop into a local Chinese food restaurant as well as a little grocery store (called the Mini-Mart) located on your right hand side as you're exiting off the expressway. Normally, you can spot lots of cars parked outside the said restaurant and Mini-Mart; however, on Sunday afternoons, you'll be amazed (and lucky) that there is hardly anyone around! This is because most people are out there, enjoying the simple life in The Bronx.
Also, if you're driving to The Bronx via the RFK Bridge, make sure you access the FDR Drive to make it easier for you to go through Manhattan (the heart of New York City).
